This is the deck I brought to america and won the World Championships 2017. It is based on the deck I played in Birmingham this year with few adjustments to the chapter packs and the meta I expected at worlds. I expected Nights watch/Wolf and Martell Decks with many resets. Thats the reason why I switched back to Trading with the Pentoshi instead of Fallen from Favor. I did not face any of the expected Decks but nevertheless Trading helped a lot and so it was the right decision to cut Fallen from favor. The last change I made was cutting Bodyguard for 1 time „The Iron Bank“ and it was also a very good choice. This event was in 2 games very useful, so maybe I will add another copy. Mirri was of no use, so maybe she will lose her place in the deck again and I will add 1 copy of Aggo, Black Walder, Unsullied or Qotho (synergy with flea bottom could be useful). Qotho could also be very useful for Barristan Selmy Decks. Barristan Selmy and „his“ attachment Warrior`s Braid (I thought before worlds to add 1 and than decided to add Bodyguard instead, which one also did not made it finally) are amazing cards but Barristan does not fit very well in my deck because of my card draw (counting and Danny).

Regarding the basic idea see the deck I posted in June. descripción del link

Tournament report:

1st round

-> Bye

2nd round

-> loss against Chris Heinrich (USA) playing Lanni/Rains -> It does not look so bad for me after 3 rounds but than I did not use my plots very well and Chris played two times in a row Supporting the Faith which was very bad for me because I had 5 events on my hand but did not draw any characters for two rounds.

3rd round

-> loss against Kyle James (USA) playing the Hyper Vipder Deck. I made a mistake and let him won the initiative on round 3 when he was playing annals of castle black. But I am not sure If I could win if I started because he had the Viper with seal of the hand and so he probably could defend my third challenge and than he could attack for victory.

After round three I had two losses and so I had to win every game at this point

4th round

-> win against Brad Emon (USA) playing NW/Winter I think. It was a choke deck with new aemon but it did not work against me in this game

5th round

-> win against Stephen Ebrey (USA) playing Targ/Rains -> I played in the first round „the iron bank“ on viserys and earned 1 gold to play a dracarys on his dany. I think that was the game because my Dany did her work afterwards

6th round

-> win against Jon Peters playing Greyjoy/Rains. My deck worked perfectly and I won in round two.

7th round

-> win against Tamas Albeck (Yurop) playing Nights Watch/Fealty. I had a perfect start and so he had to valar turn 3 when I played Marched to the wall. So our both boards were cleared but I had a eco location and flea bottom and he only the iron throne. We played until plot 7 because I did not get an intrigue icon and he did not get his wall. Weared game which a could win against one oft he best players around the world. I could not be more proud. Thanks Tamas that you won your next game so that I could make Top 16.

8th round

-> win against Even Sorgjerd (Yurop) playing Greyjoy/Rains -> He had a setup with no characters. I spiked Balon on turn one, which he had duped in his hand and than he could play only euron who marched to the wall on turn two....very unlucky game for Even

Top 16

-> win against Zack Decoto (USA) playing Hyper Viper -> Zack did not get his pieces early enough and so I was able to finish on turn 3 by winning initiative and learning from day 1 to go first

Top 8

-> win against Eoin Hegarty (Europe) playing Greyjoy/Rains -> it was a very close game. I made a mistake when I did not nightmare his Iron mines but nevertheless I had all cards to stop him to get 15 power and I won.

Semifinal:

-> win against Nicolo Merusi (Yurop) playing Lanni/LoC; He had nothing and I had everything, so he did not get the chance to stop me. very, very unlucky game for Nico

Final:

-> win against Eric Greene (USA) playing Greyjoy/Rains; Greyjoy/Rains is a very good matchup for me. I tested a lot in Vienna against Greyjoy/LoC, Rains and Banner Dragon. So I know that against Greyjoy/Rains I have to bring Dany on the board as fast as possible so that he cannot win the inrigue challenge easily, not even if he has euron on board (Iron Fleet Scout would help a lot but he did not see any I think or did not play any). So with duped Dany and some dragons I was able to win worlds 2017.

Thanks to team Yurop and the american meta. It was a great pleasure and honor for me to spend the whole week with them in Roseville gambling, eating and drinking. And last but not least thanks to all guys in Vienna, Graz and so on, who have played with me in the past thousand of times and supported me to improve my skills for this amazing game...THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS

Great job. Congratulations.

Nice work! It's amazing that you can find room for garbage like Heads on Spikes but can't find room for a card that is the best kill spell in the game and on the very short list for best card in the game. AHOY!

One hell of a ride Sir! The best Reintschi in the world

I was lucky of sharing with you this experience and, as I told you before the begining of the top 16, you and Nico were my favourite to win the Worlds. This deck is awsome but I think that definetively the strongest point is the pilot.

Counting the days to see you again in sthaleck friend.

Daniel

Thanks for the congratulations! @chriswhite...haha...you are right, I really should cut both heads and include tears 3 times @kaikou I'm also looking forward to see you in Stahleck but without Winter Festival ;)

Nice deck! Congratulations!

Congratulations! I really enjoyed watching the coverage of the event and I was rooting for you in the finals as I am a Targ loyalist myself. FIRE AND BLOOD!

colonialbob 31

Well done indeed! Several people were saying you were out of the final when you saw no econ locations... I kept telling them Targ Crossing doesn't need econ to win. You certainly proved me right! Congratulations!

@Reim Congratulations from me as well.

I would have a maybe unusual question, but since I suffered a few rather decisive losses against this deck (or very similar variants) in our local meta I would appreciate input from its certified master on how to beat it. :)

What would you consider this deck's weak point, and weak matchups, if any? In particular, does any controllish Martel variant stand a chance?

Reim 581

Thanks...@colonialbobindeed I've won many games without Eco Locations since I am playing the deck. I think that's one reason why the deck is so consistent. My cheap but strong characters allow me to play this plotline. @KobalMartell Decks with many resets (especially Varys) are certainly not the best matchups. So Varys hurts a lot (Flea bottom on the board would help). I found out that Martell/Stag with cancer Lancer and Dominance is worse than Martell/Wolf for my Deck. My Deck also don`t like Nightswatch (especially NW/Rains) with craven and milk that much (Viserys Combos would help). But finally there was no house in the last 6 months against which I always lost or against which I would have no chance at all.

Was great to watch your journey from home, congrats again! Hope to see you at the Castle (and maybe play?). ^^ - Fabian

Nimer 1120

Congratz double champion!!! I'm really happy for you, absolutely deserved! Are you going to win Stahleck as well or will you leave something to the mere mortals? :P I hope to be a more challenging opponent if we face again... ;)

gabi4008 338

Congratulations reini! The incredible double of euros and worlds is done.will the tripple follow in two weeks?

Reim 581

Thanks my mates!!! That would be amazing, but I think thats too much luck in one year ;). @Nimer I think it was your worst draw ever in the semifinal, so in absolutely every other game you would be a challenge for sure. @iaan thanks Fabi. We will see each other there and you will get your revenge - maybe ;)

Orion727 83

Congratulations for your fantastic showing and great year overall. Absolutely deserved. Hope another title follows at Stahleck. There is one stain you have to work out next year but that keeps you from getting rusty. And please never play the good cards, that we at least have a small chance.

What a champ! Sehr toll, meine neue Freunde! My German still sucks :D

Congrats on the win, strong deck and a great player piloting it. Love the idea of running Syrio Forel.

Hybrid92 51

Hi Reinhard, quick question - do you know the top Bara player at Worlds? I heard he played Bara Alliance Kraken Dragon and is from Austria. Very interested to see his decklist!!

Reim 581

Yes, he is a good friend of mine. I think he will read your massage as well and will contact you.

Hybrid92 51

I don't think you can private message on this website and I heard he doesn't have Facebook. How will he contact me? Thanks very much btw

arathorn 1

"congratulation" to say it with your words... but I would say grats or congratulations!...best player in kanzleimeta ;)

Mormegil 11

Hey man (Hallo Kollege), fantastic deck, especially in regards to versatility. Everybody should try it out in my opinion since you have such an abundance of win conditions that every game is a bit different.

I would maybe add 1x Great Hall, Second Sons, Flee Bottom (to 3) , 2x Qotho and drop Miri, Handmaiden, Braided Warrior and Syrio. I am also more of a fan of the Estates than of the Roseroads so I would swap those arounds. Have had a slightly higher winning Ration with this "modified deck" since the Flea Bottom/Second Sons absurdity became even more reliable. I did not win Worlds though :P.

Anyways, try the deck out, you'll have a blast!

Reim 581

I made only few adjustments and got into the top 32 at Stahleck.

I cut Mirri, wildling scout and handmaiden and added Faceless Man, Qotho and another copy of Irri.

It was an amazing weekend once again with a lot of nice games and opponents.

1st round -> win against Adam from hungary (Tyrell LoC) -> he had a very, very bad draw

2nd round -> win against Jakob Hultman with Greyjoy (former world champion) -> I had everything I need and could move his euron after intrigue claim to dead pile with my crone; I am proud playing against him and also that I could win

3rd round -> loss against the "faceless man" Ryan Jones with Lanni/LoC (former world champion and designer of two amazing cards) -> he used his card perfectly to "iron bank" his cersei with milk and afterwards he saved his tyrion and killed my attacking Khal Drogo with Podrick....incredible nice move

4th round -> win against Jesus Valdes (former Stahleck Champion); I had all pieces I need and both of my heads have hit if I remember correctly

5th round -> win against Onno from Netherlands with Greyjoy LoC

6th round -> loss against Kostas from Scotland with Targ/Rose -> it was a very interesting and amazing game for me, altough I lost. I was under pressure from the very first round (I think duped Khal and duped Dany on his side against my low cost characters) and I defended everything so that I felt like a night`s watch player defending the wall...but it was not enough for victory. Afterwards every other game was a final because I was not allowed to lose anymore

7th round -> win against Hansn with Martell/Fealty

8th round -> win against Florian Maas (Winner of Stahleck 2016) from Germany playing Night`s Watch/Summer/Builder -> it was very close and at the end I won 14:11 or something like that

6 wins and two losses...enough for being in the extended cut

Top 64 -> win against Ryan Jones -> rematch and perfect revenge for me. It was very very close and I was very happy coming into the Top 32. Two nightmare`s on Cersei won me the game

Top 32 -> loss against Henry L. from Finland (Runner up Stahleck 2017) with Targaryen LoC -> he had after marshalling in round 1 all dragons unduped and duped Dany. So I decided to play crown of gold on Dany and play valar turn 2 (maybe it was the wrong decision to valar so early). He had no eco and played counting coppers but too bad he brought to much characters on the board in this turn and Qotho for free to make the third challenge. I fought until the end but it was too less

At the end I was very proud to make Top 32 at this big event

Reim 581

@Mormegil so you see Mirri and handmaiden lost there places in the deck. I added Qotho to bring one big character without paying gold and also to bring a important card in the discard pile. I added faceless man to get renown or an attribute like Stormborn or Lady or Lord. I love this card. I also add another copy of Irri to increase the chance to get her. I also thought to add another copy of Illyrios estate instead of the roseroad but I found only 2 in my luggage ;) I also was thinking to cut Syrio but he can be so strong against Night`s watch, Greyjoy and Nymeria I like Braided Warrior because they have the keyword no attachments except Weapons and they are cheap and strength 3...that's the reason why I think he deserves to be in the deck. I dont want to have the second sons 3 times and also not flea bottom....I do not want to be too dependent on this card. I was rather thinking to add a 3rd copy of plaza of pride.

Ebrey 65

@Reim Actually, during Worlds I did not play milk on Dany because I don't play it in my deck ;). You did not remove any attachments when you played Iron Bank on Viserys, but that was fine because you killed Dany! Also, I thought I might still have a chance, because I had Mirri in hand, but I think on turn 2 you Spiked Mirri...

Reim 581

Sorry, then that was just wishful thinking ;).
