This is the deck that i and some other from the swedish meta developed and took to castle Stahleck. It is a super-janky deck that puts cheap attachments on your guys and then flips x2 Unexpected Delay to make the opponents characters the only targets. Prefably you also want to go second on the turns that you play Unexpected Delay since first player chooses first and then you pick his best viable character. If you have to pick first he can choose the same character, therefore reducing the efficiency of the plot. To be able to win initiative there are lots of initiative boosts like Drowned God's Blessing and Salty Navigator. The deck also was containing Ahead of the Tide but it got cut for stability reasons. This deck has quite bad setups so all nonsetup card had to be crucial.

I think that all of us that took this deck to Stahleck won about 50% of the games. So did i with the record 3-4 in the swiss. The deck can do better with a more stable plotline but i like to have more agressive plots then the other guys. They ran Time of Plenty and Calm Over Westeros instead of Heads on Spikes and Varys's Riddle. I could probably do better with this deck but it is easy to become triggerhappy with the Unexpected Delay since it is so fun. Starplayer in the deck iswithout a doubt Euron Crow's Eye. -he gives such control over the board and really gives your opponent something to think about.

Game 1 Loss vs Stepan Targaryen/winter This was a fast game were i was crushed under military pressure after Khal Drogo went rampage durin 2 consecutive turns with Famine flipped. The game was litterally over within 15 minutes.

Game 2 Loss vs Elena Targaryen/Fealty This was the targ burn deck from the final at worlds being played by a new player. I saw no attachments or opportunity to play Unexpected Delay so i used the cards i had and played the deck as a "regular" GJ rush deck. But some well used burn at the right time and Balon was handed a Crown of Gold during a Blood of the Dragon turn, the game was basically over. Well played for a new player.

Game 3 Win vs Fabien Martell/? He got a slow start with only Arianne and econ location on setup. Turn 1 and 2 consecutive Unexpected Delays bouncing The Red Viper and basically all else played by him meant that i could rush to the finish fast. The deck really shined this game and showed its real potential.

Game 4 Win vs Milan Greyjoy/Fealty This game was recorded by Milan and will be published on his channel that he is starting. Keep a lookout on FB for the announcement. Once again i saw no attachments early so i tried to control his rush early and keep his characters with renown from winning challanges. I hit him with Unexpected Delays during turn 4 and 5, i think, that bounced Euron and Asha and i pushed through to the win.

Game 5 Win vs Mikael Baratheon/? This was against another player from team Sweden. Unfortunately for him he did not realize that i played this deck when he played Here to Serve first turn and chose Maester Pylos for the stealth. He realized his mistake when i flipped Unexpected Delay turn 2. That and the fact that Euron with a Seal of the Hand went rampage and pillaged The Red Keep meant that that the game was in reality over for him. Even the fact that Robert was doing his thing was not enough to come back from that blow.

Game 6 Loss vs Jose Enrique ?/? By this time i was really tired, and also a bit drunk, and actually dont remember this game at all.

Game 7 Loss vs Luiz Stark/Fealty (i think) This game was played against the winner of the melee the day before. What i remember is that is was a tight game where i put a lot of preassure on him but he won the game since he was a better player then me.

All and all it was a fantastic weekend and i really recommend everyone to go if they can. So many nice people and great players. Special thanks to the Swedish meta who were super nice even though we didnt perform as we hoped. Better luck next year guys. Special thanks to Petter, Simon and Magnus for all the playtest and invaluable feedback.

I welcome questions and will try to answer them as soon as i can. Hopfully this deck will give some inspiration for deckbuilding. /Sten

I actually independently developed a very similar deck. I didn't run Euron because, as you mentioned, the setups can be difficult and I wanted to remove all 7 costers from my deck as they can be very awkward early rounds.

Glad to see some other deckbuilders are trying to brew with unexpected delay too.

Thanks. I cannot play GJ without Euron. His ability to recycle kingsroads is amazing not to mention all other locations. Unexspected delay is amazing and a lot of fun. I hope it will find a home in many decks in the future.
