Firstly, I take ZERO credit for this deck as I copied it from user Twn2dn. Just a couple of tweaks based on an evening of testing.
I clumsily piloted this list to a 1st place finish at a GNK in Rugby (12 players) hosted by the insufferably charming Richard Walker. I beat: Greyjoy Rains, Tyrell Wolf tinder Marg, Greyjoy Winter and Lanni Rains. Wierdly, the delightful people I beat (and Richard) finished 2nd-5th.
Greyjoy Rains: The day started badly when I forgot Winter Festival had text and my opponent had a double duped Euron Crow's Eye. Anyway, with a few valars, a sprinkle of Saltbae Navigator and a brimful of Asha (on the 45), I stumbled my way to victory.
Tyrell Wolf tinder Marg: I can't remember this game too well, but on the first turn my opponent played Ser Hobber Redwyne, to find Marg, who I then hit with a throwaway intrigue challenge. Better lucky than good.
Greyjoy Winter: Richard said before this game, the person with the better set up will win, he wasn't wrong. I set up 5 cards with some economy, he set 3 with no economy. It was pretty straightforward from there, as Richard is a terrible player and unfit to rule the Iron Islands.
Lanni Rains: Up against the better half of the thrones power couple (Beyoncé to Richards Jay-Z), I was a little apprehensive. Anyway whilst shuffling up Queen B went on to tell me how this was a terrible matchup for her, was she doing this to get in my head? Was it really a bad match up? Was I in her head? Was I in my head? Whatever the truth was, I then went on to play around all the wrong things, forget she had an agenda and get The Seastone Chair tunnel vision (a condition that afflicts many a Greyjoy player). I seemed destined to fall at the final hurdle, but the greatest moustache in the seven kingdoms (Fishwhiskers) had other ideas, and dragged me kicking and screaming to an undeserved victory.
What the deck lacks in raw power, it makes up for in sheer consistency and efficiency. Also the deck sets up like an absolute champ, allowing you to mulligan more aggressively.
I'm not sure what I would change, if anything. The Kraken's Grasp wasn't great, and I kind of wish I had a higher initiative 2 claim winter plot, maybe swap a Famine for a The Winds of Winter?
So that's the story of how a handsome magic player from the countryside won a GNK. Remember kids, don't ever let a lack of talent or hard work get in the way of following your dreams.

Hahaha I'm so glad you're leaving us ;-) congratulations on your win Lois |
Richard certainly isn't fit to rule the iron islands |
I can dig it! |
Did Raiding Longship do you any good ? This very warship seems odd while taking into consideration the selection of low int plots apart from Marched to the Wall. |

Won't first snow wreck you? |

hallo i have a question how are you dealing with nw attachments or bara kneel? |
In other news I swapped a Famine for a The Winds of Winter, and have been very happy with it so far. |
Love this write up! Had a lot of fun during our game, looking forward to watching it back and seeing what I could have done better :)
