My take on the Lords and Ladies Crossing deck for House Martell.

Had a lot of fun running this deck and so far it's undefeated in around 6 games against Targ and GJ (Yep, everyone was playing those in the tournament!) coming 1st in a store in house tournament. Some relatively new players were in the tournament and I didn't see my greatest fear - Bara, so that may have affected the position I got. It's a little bit susceptible to attachments so a Confiscation could see play if needed. Probably swapping for Gossip & Lies.

Key Moves:

Long Plan in to Summons or Noble Cause to drop your big guys - you are ideally looking for Doran / Viper / Arrianne. These are your key characters to start the ball rolling. Then you want to start supporting them with chud or the 4 Costers ready for an early First Snow of Winter. This plot went out of fashion but it's still huge for Martell IMO. Especially with the rise of some amazingly efficient 3 Costers - Fickle Bannerman I'm looking at you!

First challenges can be made with Bastard Daughters (it fizzles straight away but it's a challenge out of the way) or Caleotte, who is incredible in a Crossing deck, hence 2 of instead of the usual 1. Whatever happens you will profit from the challenge :)

Once these guys are out - power up as fast as possible! Bonus points for getting Myrcella and Knights of Sun out for bonus renown. With the Viper and Crossing bonus you can get there scarily fast - not rush deck fast ala Tyrell/Wolf but fast enough to have a chance, especially if you have Ghaston out! Hopefully you'll see a Dorans Game which can close games without your opponent realising.

Throne + Boneway is there to put pressure on dom reliant decks and gaining 3 power can be huge in one swing.

Overall it's a really fun deck to pilot and probably Martells strongest at the moment!

Curious to the amount of copies of Lady Jump and No Icon Sand Flavour. How are you finding the deck runs? Smooth enough to ensure the Intrigue and Power gets through?

How did Gossip and Lies work, it looks like it loses full potential in Crossing? Why not House Dayne Knight instead of Bastard Daughter? Why Palace Spearman? Cheers!

@Zukin2 x Arianne Martell works nicely as you don't really want to end up with her in hand too often (although ambush in her dupe can be fun, but doesn't happen often!). Nymeria Sand was originally 3 x but I've found that the deck was working even without her being on the board so thought 2 x would suffice.

@NikolaPGossip & Lies works well when you've got the board to do it (i.e Viper/Doran/Arrianne or Myrcella). You can INT first, then MIL, then POW. However it is the first plot to be replaced if I need Confiscation or even Winter Festival to help close the power gap.

Palace Spearmen give me FSoW protection (so I can get those out and play FSoW quickly) and I find them just to be a solid body. Bastard Daughters were put in to combat the ever popular Tinder Marg decks as you can just go in with them for 0 ST MIL and not trigger her. Granted, House Dayne Knights would probably be in there 99% of the time.

In my experience Gossip and Lies is really strong in Martell decks since most of their key chars have icon and I find this plot nearly crucial in Martell X decks especially those running Doran's Game. This is mainly a finisher plot when you do want to go first to close the game. It's especially fun when your coming from behind in a close game. Still a lot of people are caught unprepared since the Martells are not that common at the moment and they tend to forget this event even exists.

On the other hand I find Winter Festival giving me the power not that often lately due to the prevailing existence of summer plots. I'd definitely go with Heads on Spikes that Winter Festival unless you're running winter choke theme.

Palace Spearman are really strong but in the Martell X builds I also tru to squeeze in couple of Knights of the Sun. Their renown sometimes take opponents by surprise and let's you close game earlier. Though they are not all taht important, just a good and efficient body that can be dropped with Arianne Martell from time to time.

True re: Doran's Game and Gossip. The initiative is really useful for us too as you will most likely go first, INT and win.

Yeah I love Knights of the Sun and Spearmen. Just really solid 4 cost cards IMO. Like you say the renown can catch people off guard.

Can't wait for the new plots and cards. I think they'll definitely see play for Martell decks.
