This is almost the exact same deck I have used lately with a small change in economy. I am now 14:2 with this deck. I have won a regionals today. Not the biggest event ever one but with very good players. We had Fracas 2016 and top4 Shtaleck 2016 player and other regionals' winners (since 1.0!).

game 1, Kings of Winter, win

This game was all about me having draw and summer plots. Burned and killed more drowned men than my opponent was able to marshal.

game 2, Kings of Summer, win

My games with Tyrell are always similar. Early game preasue. It took 9 plots to win due to two +1STR summer plots but with crowned (of gold) Randyll I slowed Tyrell rush enough.

game 3, Fealty, win

My first job was to kill Aemon. I waited until my opponent empty his hand, then nightmared Wall (in Blood of a Dragon turn). better than Valar. With poor draw and no board my opponent was unable to comeback.

game 4, Fealty, loss

This was a full aggro deck with many 2 claim plots. With Khal out my opponent won too many challenges. I also made a mistake and waited with Blood of a Dragon to long.

top 4, "The Rains of Castamere"

Nightmare! Harrenhal (FFH) + Tower of the Hand. Jumping . It was an even game until I Nightmaresed The Hound who entered the game via Harrenhal (FFH). Killed Burned men with Plaza and Marched duped Tywin and my Khal. Great trade. After the game there were like all unique characters in a dead pile. I literaly dryed his marshalling (characters) options to zero. Super hard game. I recycled Dragon is No Slave like 5 times in this game. Also Quaithe of the Shadow was golden. Returned to hand with Tower of the Hand was able to remove Grand Maester Pycelle in a key challenge later in the game.

top 2, Fealty, win

Same opponent I have lost too before. This time I was able to burn him before his military claim hit me. Calm helped, Plaza of Punishment killed few military characters. His two Retaliation helped me as well as I was able to push his board before he was able to attack. A Dragon Is No Slave did great too. I had just more tricks at my disposal. Used Counting Coppers early to get dupes and enough burn. Was killing more cards my opponent could play. I took my revenge and won the whole thing!

Congratulations to all my opponents. Great games!

Well done on the result!

Just two questions, did you feel you had enough attachment control with the 3 draw deck cards? Also what would you remove, if anything, to get Astapor and Grey Worm into the deck?

MiSiO 278

I got hit with milk and Craven few times but it never mattered. People are not using to many attachments that can be a problem for this deck anyways. This deck is Ward immune too. I would worry only about frozen solid a little. Bodyguard is irrelevant for burn too. Ok. Milk on Dany or Khal are always not cool but there are no other good targets for Milk. NW has many attachments which makes Plaza and new event less potent but I just burn those without attachments and kill the rest with Mil. One attachment discard is usually enough. And three cards to do so are enough either.

I already has an Astapor version ready for testing. It has acculy 61-62 cards. Removed Devoted Bloodriders. Mirri might be out too. I am considering two copies of Nightmares or A Dragon is no Slave but this is something I want to test. I will start with two copies of Grey Worm. Still best burn is with Plaza. Grey worm should just speed the deck a little more UO. Grey worm should work better with two claim plot. I will cut characters to 33-34, replace devoted with grey worm, add three Astapor and reduce one event.

I will definitely post the updated version soon.

Do you think that this kind of Burn-decks are playable without Valar?

MiSiO 278

Blood of the Dragon can play a role of Valar Morghulis to a certain degree but I think that if You would like to remove Valar You should go for a 2 claim plot instead. You will be able to clean the board with Khal Drogo (and with Grey Worm). So yes - You can play it without Valar but You need something to clear the board like 2 claim plot.

@MiSiO This is what i am brewing for after the release of "The Fall of Astapor". How do you like it? thronesdb.com

@MiSiO got my tweaked version to table w great results. So first off, thanks for sharing.

Plots: was playing Confiscation instead of Calm Over Westeros, though still not sure on what I feel is best the 7th plot. I think Valar Morghulis as a hard reset is a must v the rush in the meta. The other plots all fit very well. I survived v a Targ Winter deck without Calm Over Westeros, though it was rough. And I see why it's a great opener if you don't have int icon in opening hand.

I will likely try out 2x Counting Coppers because having a 2nd if the game goes long really makes a difference. Also I want to test Retaliation, have you tried it in this build?

Only other thing I have to add at this point is that I've been running Plaza of Pride at 2x. So good.

@MiSiO PS congrats on the regional!

MiSiO 278

@s.the.dornishmanI was thinking Retaliation or a winter 2 claim plot (to turn a Winterfell off). Yes. But I do not feel I need extra claim to press my opponent more. I acculy like one more Summer plots more to face KoW agendas.

Counting Coppers are great (Time of Plenty is also a mini-draw) but when game is long I usualy see Daenerys Targaryen or Doreah or I recycle my plots and draw again with Coppers.

Yes. Plaza of Pride is great. I ordered my DE but they are still not here so I use one Plaza I got from a friend. :D Still not sure what to take out to put +1. I lately try to keep 60 cards in a deck. Especially when I have to add 4-5 cards from Fall of Astapor :D I will drop Bloodrider theme and keep only Jhogo (stealth was nice but with x characters in dead pile he is a good enough). Ok. Aggo with 3 Summer plots is also great but deck is not made of rubber... :(

If You keep Confiscation drop Rattleshirt's Raiders and get more Targ goodies.

@MiSiOCongrats on your win!

Thoughts on fitting the new stuff:

Astapor and Plaza of Punishment overlap thematically even if they serve different functions. I'm going to be trying 1 Astapor, 3 Plaza so that my opponent feels special if he blows something up.

Since Aggo and Bloodriders are probably leaving for Grey Worm, I feel the Summer plots could be swapped - especially Summer Harvest. Very easy to sabotage Summer Harvest in my meta. If I were to keep a Summer plot, it'd be Time of Plenty or Close Call for the draws.

I still like a claim 2 plot in this kind of build to add an extra layer of pressure. If your opening draws come up burn-lite, there's still Khal you probably drew into instead and who you can suddenly buy on a claim 2 turn (surprise!) Then, Valar if your deck failed to get even that.

MiSiO 278

I would say Plaza of Punishment and Astapor are not doing the same thing really but together are super deadly.

Summer Harvest is great to counter Summer harvest :) Especially when Your board is beter after set-up which is usually the Targ thing.

Yeas. 2 claim plot is what I would love to see tested.

Aggo - I still have problem with removing him from the deck.
