Kentucky Shaun 39

Another deck trying to make use of the Small Council trait. This one tries to take advantage of the power rush that both and have in common. Although relatively few characters have native intrigue icons, Septa Mordane and Little Bird will hopefully help with that.

Six of the characters have the Small Council trait so hopefully The Council Consents can stand some important characters despite Stannis Baratheon (Core)'s presence.

I think the presence of Arya Stark (Core), Sansa Stark (Core), Septa Mordane and Syrio Forel is very neddly and hopefully gives the deck some flexibility with native intrigue and Syrio's ability to grant military icons.

The deck is location heavy as well, hence Support of the People, Building Orders and Taxation to get some of those econ and power rush locations humming. Renly Baratheon (TtB), Great Hall and Ocean Road will hopefully get the and neutral characters in place. Still, the deck has some expensive characters with little income generation, so most of the plots were chosen to maximize income.

Why Little Bird over Appointed if this is a Small Council deck?

Primarily because, unlike my other Small Council deck, those powerful cards that need the trait already have it. On the other hand, and powerhouses generally lack intrigue icons. The smaller cards that lack the trait pretty much all have intrigue icons. The main benefit is that Little Bird can attach to any character, whereas Appointed can only attach to uniques. Therefore, Appointed pretty much only reaches its full potential with Syrio Forel. Little Bird can help City Watch and Royal Entourage as well as the 6 and 7 costs.

That's a good point! I think that would definitely be a valid substitution.

Also, notice that you can't use Little Bird with City Watch (no attachment except weapons).

Also a good point. I think I'm sold on replacing Little Birds with Appointed in this deck.

To make a card like Arya Stark (Core) a possible 4 STR tri-con, pump the STR of some of the other low STR characters or to possibly have an out on sacrificing a character when Fallen from Favor is played.
