CRCL 100

Disclaimer: This deck is by no means optimised. I played it to win a very small (8-player) GNK.

This deck basically uses the disgusting combo of Recruiter for the Watch (or Ward), and Ramsay Snow to snipe 2x of your opponent's characters in marshalling. You also have Marched to the Wall, Varys, Mutiny At Craster's Keep, and claim to help clear your opponents board. Ramsay is also the perfect cost for Mutiny, since you want to discard him to play him again later, and he protects all your 4-costers. Harrenhal (GoH) helps lock your opponent out of playing characters, and Yoren and Protectors of the Realm allow you to repopulate your board much easier than your opponent.

There's nothing quite like seeing your opponent setup Lannisport Merchant, Tywin Lannister (Core), The Roseroad, and then proceeding to steal the chud with recruiter and then play Ramsay to sacrifice their chud and Tywin. Sneak Attack is a bad plot, but it allows you to take initiative when you absolutely need to to pull of your recruiter + Ramsay combo.

Now that I've played it a bit, the changes I'd make would be:

-2 Eastwatch-by-the-Sea (I had this most games, and it rarely proc'd).

+2 Flea Bottom (Much better than Eastwatch).

-2 Winterfell Steward (They were kinda meh).

-1 Varys (I only needed him in one game, and in most others he just stayed in my hand).

+3 Old Forest Hunter (More rangers for the scouts and Rykker, plus they give you income and discard pile seed).

My results at the GNK:

Greyjoy, Banner of the Dragon - Win. (I managed to Marched/Ramsay Balon Greyjoy (CtA), Victarion Greyjoy, and Euron Crow's Eye)

Targaryen, Fealty - Win.

Night's Watch, Lord of the Crossing - Win. (An early Varys sealed this for me)

Lannister, Banner of the Wolf - Loss. (This Lannister deck ran Harrenhal (FFH), lots of economy, and 2x Counting Coppers, so it was an uphill battle)

Have you experimented at all with Journey to Oldtown? I've found it has a lot of interesting applications in NW/Wolf––reduping Arya, getting another Ramsay trigger, letting your bigger characters dodge your many resets, letting your lone guy dodge your own Marched, shedding Milk from Recruiters, controlling how the Mutiny resolves, etc.

@chriswhiteno I haven't yet tried using journey. I completely overlooked some of those applications. I'll slot it in and see how it goes.

Do you think new Arya could fit in this deck? So you opponent is not longer able to save his characters and you do a lot of more pressure.

Also looking forward to Turncloak. Maybe a nice addition for a steal deck like this :-)

Just my thoughts.
