This is the deck i played in the Champions of Westeros League. I made it into the Top 16, were i lost against Tyrell Rains. In this last round i changed Nightmares to Hands Judgement and Valar M to Valar D (as i expected a Tyrell matchup), however, it didn't help me due to really bad card draw (no economy or Dracarys the whole game) and a very good opponent who did not make a single mistake.

Sorry Reinhard, i could not represent the Targ family longer.

This is a classic burn deck, so i will not write too much about the deck - everything is already said in similar decks on ThronesDB.

I think the most debatable card here is Close Call. I often used it to bring a dead 2 or 3 coster into my discard pile and then let it jump in with Flea Bottom. The additional card draw and the gold isn't bad either. However, this plot could also be a control option (like Fortified Positions) or another aggressive plot like Retaliation. PttS is my number 61 card, which is sometimes a A dragon is no slave.

I really would like to hear opinions from the community to this topics and of course other deck choices.

Hi! Congratz on your result. I have just a few questions about the deck. As i don't like Targs in second edition that much, i might have gaps in my deck building.

So first, you have plenty of good burn effects in the deck, so, do you believe, that Unsullied worth two slots? You have low init and you have aggressive deck, so i don't think you are FP that often and they are really weak defenders. I believe that if you would remove them for some cheaper guys, you could remove also Targaryen Loyalist and substitute them for some more effective chars. For instance second Doreah would be nice in here. This would allow you to play Blood of the Dragon even in situations when you had some Loyalist on board and didn't want them sacrifice for your own plot.

Also, when you have so much removal, why would you add also Put to the Sword? I feel like The Hand's Judgment or Put to the Torch would do better job, as game is no relying on good characters that much anymore. And also, win by 5 and having 2 golds is still not that easy. In most cases, when you can do that you win the game anyway. On the other hand, option to get rid of the annoying locations is in more cases more crucial, isn't it?

Thanks for the reply :)

Thank you Raius.

Unsullied aren't the most shiny cards here and can easily be changed to other ones. However, i wanted cards on the 4 cost slot (can stand Dany with Plaza of Pride and are immune to First Snow of Winter) which are Targ cards (useable with Consuming Flames). So my options are limited here. And Unsullied have no attachements exept weapons, which make them immune to Ward in the Martell-Wolf Matchup.

Of course i could add another Doreah, but i don't like dupes on those (not crucial) small characters.

Put to the Sword is debatable. It was A Dragon is no Slave a long time, which may be the better choice. But PttS is not bad here because most opponents anticipate a Consuming Flames when you have 2 Gold left, and therefore maybe decide to not defend. It is also good in the Tyrell matchup with Mace. You cannot burn him when he does not participate in challenges. But you are right, i think it would not be a bad decision when this card is a PttT. Depends on your meta i think.

Same applies to Nightmares versus Hands Judgement. Meta choice.
