Hi everybody,

Welcome to my very first published deck from my very first tournament. I played this deck in last season of Champion of Westeros and went to TOP8 with score 8-2.

The basic idea behind this deck is to get as much value out of characters with total printed cost 10 since Valar Dohaeris is most played reset recently. The second idea behind the deck is to not rely on single card, otherwise i would have to cry how unlucky i was every other game.

Core of the deck is Tywin Lannister, Cersei Lannister, Shae, Myrcella Baratheon, Tyrion Lannister and Casterly Rock. The basic game play is to get on the board as soon as possible one of the girls (Cersei, Myrcella, Shae), one of the ecoguys (Tywin, Tyrion) and some small replacable characters to be able to play and win multiple challenges and force opponent to over-marshal. The main focus is on intrigue challenge to clear opponent's hand. After opponent's hand is reduced and board full, reset plots take's place to reset characters (Valar Dohaeris) and locations as well (Political Disaster). But even if this strategy doesn't work, this deck may win with power on Tywin or Cersei. The worst match up is NW builders and i honestly don't know, how to improve this deck to be able to beat them (any ideas would be welcome :)

Report from tourney:

R1: Win against Martell winter – 1. plot after prince doran behest opponent played first snow of winter which left to only one char on both sides in chall phase – arianne vs. Jaime. So i milked arianne to prevent her nasty tricks and kill her. My Jaime was sent by ghaston grey back to my hands. Then it was long game and most of the time i wasn't able to initiate all three of my chall to gain crossing bonus, but somehow i was slowly getting advantage and won in r6.

R2: Win against Stark WtC – The game was all about Cersei who gained 5 power on her card and some other power from unopposed chall.

R3: Win against Greyjoy banner to rose – I draw mostly events and attachments, only few chars and no eco. Luckily two cards i draw were casterly rock and myrcella. I started with counting coopers to ensure myrcella working, won init and chose to be first. I won four challenges as an attacker with only one 2-gold char kneeling. He had Dagmer, i knew i am not gonna be able to block him and had one gold. What to choose? Kill dagmer with tear of lys or save my casterly rock with treachery. I chose the latter one but lost my treachery in his intrigue claim (1 in 11 cards!!!). I Valar Dohaeris his Dagmer and killed Tris Botley with tears next round. In third round he played rise of Kraken and had combo (Theon + lord renly’s ride + highgarden courtier) to kneel me and win all three of chall. Luckily he started with mill challenge so i was able kill Theon with Podric. I ended round with 13power and in next round i finished the game.

R4: Loss against Martel tWtC – i kept my hand and opened with tyrion, myrcella and roseroad (which is usually great opening). Later i to regretted this choice, because i didn't draw any small chars in first four rounds and no treachery in whole game. Since i had only big chars (tywin, cersei, hound) his icon stripe was super efficient and i wasn't able to do three challenges to get my LoC power through whole game. He also used southern messenger on tywin and cersei (how i missed treachery at that point). In another words i was loosing from beginning to the end. I was able to slow him down with political disaster and valar dohaeris and i canceled his first winning punch (dorans game) with hands, but i lost in r6 anyway.

R5: Win vs. Targ tWtC - I had a good draw, opened with cersei, reducer and eco and marshalled casterly rock in r1. He attempted to kill cersei with a dragon is no slave and dracarys, but I cancelled with HJ. I won in r3 with 5 power on cersei and score 15:0.

R6: Win vs. Tyrrel Summer - Another game with good draw. I opened with only tywin and eco (luckily he didn’t have marched) and milked his Randyll Tarlly in r1 and Renly in r2. I marshalled Tyrion, Myrcella and casterly rock in r1, so I had everything I needed to win since beginning. In r3 opponent conceded with score 10:0.

TOP64: Win vs. Martell twtC - He played martell house dayne deck with increasing strength so he was able to win his 2 important challenges each round, but he didn’t have anything in his deck to stop my cersei+tywin duo. I won easily with 5+ power on cersei (tywin was milked from turn 1).

TOP32: Win vs. GreyJoy tWtC - Another game with great draw (tywin, reducer and eco setup, in round 1 I marshaled and duped tyrion and seal of hands on tywin). I was only afraid about valar morghulis. Played all my drawing pots in beginning to dupe tywin or get bodyguard. Didn’t get anything. In the end I was lucky to not meet valar morghulis, because I won in r3 with 4 power on tywin.

TOP16: Win vs. Targaryen tWtC - I opened with Jaime, Red Cloaks and eco and thought that is good opening. Unfortunetally I draw only 2 chars in 10 cards in r1 and lost one of them to heads on spike. I marshalled Tywin, but started loosing on board really soon. I had to play valar dohaeris in r3. I had no cards, no board and no draw plots remaining and only Tywin was holding me in the game. In r7 it was 14:14 and i lost init. Opponent needed to win his first chall otherwise i would win with power on Tywin. My Tywin had due to gold strength 13 or something. Opponent reduced Tywin's strength with events and new Danny, but forgot to calculate with goldroad. So after he played all his triumphs i knelt goldroad to get one gold, which increased Tywin' strength and won.

TOP8: Loss vs. NW builders - This was the most boring game ever. He didn't initiate a single challenge, i wasn't able to win more then one challenge in round and i lost without and drama after one and half of hour of boredom. During this game i wished i lost my TOP16 game, because new Danny burn deck would have more chance to beat this lame deck.

Anyway, this deck performed better than i expected (even though i was mostly lucky thought the tournament) and it was fun to play. Sorry for my English and thanks for reading this :))
