I was delighted to pilot this to 4 wins and 1 loss at Scotland's regionals. This deck appealed to me on three levels.

1) It has all that good Green stuff in it for which I can take no credit. The influence of @jcwamma Euro winning deck is obvious in the list of Tyrell characters included.

2) Toolbox. The attachments on tap was vital. The ability to shutdown the worst excesses of new Wall decks, Martell Flea Bottomnonsense was huge.

3) Thematic. This got to let me use my favourite mat (ladies sowing) and my Stark tokens from 2016 regionals in an entirely coherent way.

Games wise I faced a broad range of decks. Where Trading With Qohor came in particularly handy was against the Nights Watch "steal suff" deck backed up by the new Wall. Being able to shut that down at will was huge. Outwith that, the semi-mirror against Tyrell The Wars To Come went in my favour because I had just as much strength to win challenges as my opponent which meant I could put an end to almost all the Tyrell nonsense so prevalent at the moment.

My one loss in Swiss came against a Tyrell Knights deck that simply out rushed me. This deck needs time to build up its tool box, time Mark didn't grant me. In the cut against Targ The Wars To Come I was destroyed by a combination of a good opponent and me making stupid mistakes that left me without the claim soak to stop a walk over.

So this deck is far from perfect but I think there's something in there. Combining the aggressive power gain of Tyrell with the toolbox of Trading With Qohor and the control that brings with it. Control or flexibility? I don't know.

Either way, comment and criticism welcome and thank you to MaxXp for organising a great event for Scotland.

(I always name my deck after songs/song lyrics. In honour of the blend of hot summers in The Arbor and cold winters in Winterfellthis deck is named for the first lines of the Belle and Sebastian song Summer Wasting)

Good job mate :)

Congrats! Are there any changes you'd make after the regional? What cards were pleasant surprises?

+1 for a Belle and Seb reference in the title.

@jcwamma Thanks! Beacon of the South was a nice surprise. There were two occasions I think where it got me a handy extra power before being sacrificed to bring out something else. Kept the pressure up. In terms of what I'd change... Still working on that. Main targets for cutting at the moment are Growing Strong which didn't really do anything for me in favour of possibly more economy. Not sure yet though.

Hey, nice deck! Do you really think you need the Wolf Banner at all?

Thanks @iaan! The short answer is: I don't know! The Frozen Solids did prove invaluable in terms of shutting down some of the nastier locations but considering how much cash Tyrell have ready access to the same effect could possibly be achieved with a more straight forward Tyrell Qhor deck (with the obvious upside that not having 75 cards brings). My plan is to put that theory to the test at a smaller local tourney in just over a week.
