The initial design scheme of this was aimed at a defensive deck that aims to win while sitting back and gaining faster than the opponent. The initial thought on was that I would take advantage of the Chamber of the Painted Table and the The Iron Throne. What I did enjoy about splashing in most was the abundance of icons and the Fiery Followers.

So the deck has moved a little bit more towards a gain build to put myself in situations where I can win defensively while still gaining .

There is still enough lack of icons where Noble Lineage is a great setup card and provide for any additional that might be missing.

Street of the Sisters and Superior Claim are two defensive gain conditions that I am trying to mitigate.

I felt like the Chamber of the Painted Table was not doing it quick enough for me and there were too many different locations needed in the deck, so one went to another Street of the Sisters and a third Superior Claim.

I am not sure however if is the correct faction however to banner with. I might want to try another like going forward and look to boost strength during defensive battles to get those gains easier. I would miss the Fiery Followers, but I wouldn’t lose much in gain.

As far as plots are concerned, I almost always open with Here to Serve to get that defensive protection early while dropping another character or another setup location.

I had to recently add in Counting Coppers even with the Messenger Raven cards in the deck. I was dropping things pretty quickly and found myself empty on almost all of the games that I played. So this will hopefully help me mid-game to rebuild and keep pushing.

If anyone finds this intriguing and gives it a shot, let me know what you also think on it and I will be play testing another version with soon enough that approaches a similar scheme. I don’t believe that have what it takes right now to be very very strong, but this kind of deck can face off against quite a bit of different decks very well. Weaknesses off the bat unfortunately are typically with too much stealth and with lots of kill potential and the Plaza of Punishment is just disgustingly hateful against . The plan is to win challenges, but you can’t win ‘em all and if you start losing them it goes downhill fast with Plaza of Punishment.

I did recently consider putting another Melisandre in the deck so that I have a second chance at finder her. But, just her alone is a good card by itself. The Fiery Followers and one Shireen Baratheon are the only potential triggers as well. They are also there for their own effects as well by themselves.

I did find myself in a situation today where I was down 7 to 10 , then returned with an unopposed , followed by a Superior Claim and a trigger of The Wall.

With three opposing characters on their side of the board I closed the next round with Fortified Position and put down a Street of the Sisters to near guarantee that I could finish off the game with the 15 that round.

I think it could use some tweaks, but it has some serious potential.
