Bog standard Lanny/Rose 4th out of 15 1.0

A bog standard Lanny/Rose deck I took to my very first tournament at Sacramento’s Great Escape Games. It went 3-1 pre-cut beating a Martell/banner of the Lion, Targ Fealty, and Greyjoy/Baratheon before losing to a different Martell/Lion deck. Lost my first game after the cut to a Lanni/Sun deck that put all of its pieces together before I could do the same, coupled with me blowing it early by having Randy get cut down by put to the sword despite having a Widow’s Wail that could have saved him in hand :(. Not a bad showing for my first tournament and a fun day overall.

Things I’m unsure about at this time:

Summons, while everyone seems to think this plot is the bees knees it’s never been super useful for me. I’ve never grabbed anything that changed things in pivotal moment with it and the one time I got both right and left on the table at the same time I didn’t need this plot to do it.

Counting Coppers, More draw is good. More draw, unconditionally, is even better. Both of my losses were due to not having my draw engines out and being out intrigued.

Varys, Not once did Varys get to go off (Lannister, and thus Treachery, was everywhere that day).
