The deck was played in a local game night during a 5 player melee and won. Eddard, Tyrion, and Varys were the key cards that won me the game. The idea when I was building this deck was to take advantage of Joffrey’s ability by flooding my side of the board with Lords or Ladies alongside the usual great cards of Lannister and Stark. Tywin ended up being pulled from my hand for intrigue claim turn 1 and Joffrey turn 2 so I ended up going on the back up plan by putting duped Lords or Ladies out and using Varys.

I would add more copies of Joffrey since he’s the original win plan. Not sure what I’d take out.

Joffrey can get only 3 power. In my melee games last round started for winner from 10 power. Another problem: lords not cheap and get renown power, which count - so its not easy to kill lords and lady for winning on plot phase

@avogadro Joffrey can get only 3 power PER ROUND. Obviously to maximize the use of his ability, I wouldn’t kill more than 3 lords or ladies per turn. Sometimes I wouldn’t even kill any of mine since his ability triggers off of opponents lords and ladies dying as well. If one of my opponents gets ganged up on, more than likely they will lose their heavy hitters which tends to be lords or ladies.

Yes, Lords and Ladies aren’t cheap. That’s why I’m running Lannister main house. They can afford this gold curve.

Out of the 10 Lords and Ladies in here, only 4 of them have renown (or pseudo renown). It’s definitely easy to kill off the other 6 once they’ve done their part. If you look at the other houses, quite a bit of their lords and ladies don’t have renown either.

Hand’s Judgement and 3x Bran are in there to stop people from playing getting their superior claim or doran’s game going. At the 2.0 melee at Worlds this year, as soon as a player hits 5 power they’re a target. Specially GJ. If someone starts the round with 10 power, then they’re either been in control of the whole game and is gonna win anyway OR they’re opponents haven’t noticed how quick power grabs go in melee.
