I didn’t include Varys because with Tywin in the deck there are very few times when my opponent can get far enough ahead that I’d need him, and a lot of the time he would just take up space. It was a slightly bold move but I didn’t regret it all day. I meant to drop the Queen’s Assassin the night before the tournament but I completely forgot too. It’s a bit of a holdover from Glazer’s version of the deck and as soon as the new pack is out they get dropped for two brothel madames. |

I agree with +2 Things -2 Carts and it was the first thing I changed. Things is so strong late game for Lanny. Once the next pack comes out I will add in Two Maidens, and most likely the new plot in place of summons, filthy or counting. The plot seems like a good way to counter an enemy Varys or Wildfire by stripping their hand and therefore their ability to recover. You have to guess to play it, but it will be somewhere plot 3-4ish. |

Yeah, once the new pack comes out my changes will be, two maidens for the queens assassins, one Syrio for Rattleshirts raiders, one Lannisport for a third seal of the hand and I’m going to test dropping filthy for Wardens of the West. |

Dropping Lannisport is rough as card draw is super critical. I understand why you like seal because 1 gets eaten by confiscation, and they you have 1 coming soon in the deck. Getting it of Marg is so fun, but Tywin is better. Syrio giving stealth is really strong as well. |

Congratz on your win! Played an almost identical build for my SC in Montreal, and I share your opinion that this lanni rose build (notably: diversity of renown characters, no Varys, filthy for tempo) may be the best competitive deck in the current meta. It’s just so consistent, you always feel like you’re in control no matter what the match-up is. Happy to see this deck performing so well everywhere, even if that means people will start to expect it as much as Targ! |
Congratulations on your win! May I ask how “The Queen’s Assassin” performed for you? In my testing I found him to be a bit underwhelming. It’s interesting that you didn’t include Varys in your deck. Why didn’t you feel him necessary?
