Supremacy 120

Stealth the guys you can, Strip icons off the guy's you can't, and Raiding Longship the rest. Go unopposed or go home.

Played in 2016 Store Championship (Redcap's Corner, Philadelphia) against the following decks:

Round 1) / - Opponent started off strong, but a turn 3 Marched to the Wall from him and my own Wildfire Assault (I had a The Kingsroad and less power, so I chose the order) turned things around in my favor when I recovered and he didn't.

1-0

Round 2) / - Opponent ended up with 13 power because of Randyll Tarly + Margaery Tyrell, but Rise of the Kraken pushed the win through before he could get his. Euron Crow's Eye stole Chamber of the Painted Table early on and got a The Kingsroad from , which set up a play for Nymeria Sand to close out the game.

2-0

Round 3) / Fealty - Opponent either didn't know how Balon Greyjoy and The Red Keep interacted, or didn't care, since he got lots of unopposed that might not have been able to happen. Turn 2 Tears of Lys on Stannis Baratheon helped to keep the wheels turning and secure a win.

3-0

Round 4) / Fealty - Opponent made a crucial mistake in using his faction card for Fealty which then prevented him from playing In the Name of Your King!, which then lead to The Seastone Chair offing his Robert Baratheon. The rest of the game was pretty much in the bag from that point.

4-0

Store Championship Officially Ended Here.

Cut to Top 4 for extra prizes (store credit only)

Round 1) / - I mulliganed a 1 character setup into a 2 card setup of Nymeria Sand and Great Kraken. This lead to my opponent using his Marched to the Wall on the first turn, which let me set up Balon Greyjoy + 2 duplicates + Bodyguard on the next turn. 2 turns later, Wildfire Assault put me back on even footing where I was able to catch up. Game ended 15-14 in my favor. A small mistake on a military challenge almost cost me the game, because if I had allowed him to lose on military, he would have killed Melisandre and Joffrey Baratheon would have won the game off of it. Last turn came down to Rise of the Kraken vs. A Clash of Kings, but The Kingsroad to the rescue let me take first player since I had less power, which let me win.

Top 2

Round 2) / Fealty (Same as Round 4 Prior) - This time the opponent didn't kneel his faction card incorrectly, and hit me with In the Name of Your King! when I popped Rise of the Kraken, which left his board of Littlefinger, Melisandre, and Robert Baratheon completely untouched. Balon Greyjoy was knelt for 6 turns in a row, Asha Greyjoy was knelt for 2 before being hit by Milk of the Poppy. Opponent smartly defended against Maester Caleotte's challenges, so Tears of Lys wasn't useful until after Robert Baratheon had a Bodyguard.

Only loss of the day was the last game, and it may have gone differently if I had saved a gold for The Hand's Judgment when he played In the Name of Your King!, so lesson learned there.

In Doran's Name was useful every game I saw it, since this deck has a fairly high amount of 5 cost characters, so it gets that extra oomph it needs.

Supremacy 120

I'm writing this from memory 8 hours afterwards, so this recollection may not be entirely based in fact. Turn #'s are only estimates. Apologies if you were my opponent and I got something wrong :)

Your writeup says you won a game with rise of the kraken, but the card seems to be missing from your decklist ;)

Zeyar 139

nvm, got confused with Kraken's grasp

Only thing I noticed is you don't have Dawn in your deck. Dawn has shown up and completely turned games in my favor for the win.

Supremacy 120

I could definitely see adding a single Dawn to the list, either in the place of Seal of the Hand or a Little Bird. I'm really weary to take out a character for it, since 30 is already on the low side considering the cost curve.

I took out a little bird to add 1x Dawn. I've only played 1 game with this deck so far vs supporting the wall. It was aggressive enough to keep my opponent on the back foot and it was even able to do good work while using intrigue as my sneak attack. I look forward to messing around with this one some more :)

Can confirm, Balon does great work when matched up with Dawn. Especially useful when facing an opponent with high initiative plots as well - which make longships trickier to use. I'm tempted to put in a second one just to increase odds of both showing up together.

What has your experience been with getting euron into play? I keep finding that I'd rather get more of the 5 costers out instead like Asha or Nymeria and he just sits in my hand.

Thoughts on Tears vs. PttS? I find that it's pretty easy to win military challenges by five using Balon?

Supremacy 120

`@blueeyedbanditt Cost is pretty much the limiting factor. This deck has a really tight gold curve with a lot of 5+ cost characters you want to get out ASAP, so saving 2 gold can be tough.

With the new chapter pack I might have to find room for Fishing Net and Newly Made Lord, which might actually be really tough... it was already tough enough running a Greyjoy deck that didn't have Risen from the Sea in it.
