CRCL 100

I built this deck to try out some of the newer cards (been on a bit of a break), and also to go toe-to-toe with all the Lannister in our meta. It worked pretty well, and I managed to go 3-0 in our league night against 2x Lannister Crossing decks, and a Baratheon + Banner of the Sun deck.

The deck is slower than a pure Greyjoy deck. I'm usually trying to keep the board smallish (hence the double Wildfire) to leverage my stealth and kneel. I find the double Wildfire often catches people off guard. They'll spam stuff out after you've used one Wildfire, which you can then catch with a second one later on.

MVPs: Asha (Duh), Seastone Chair, Even-Handed Justice, The double Wildfire, and Bob's Hammer. (Hint: Duped Bob's Hammer on Asha is crazy good. In one game she single-handedly knelt my opponent's whole board.)

After playing a few games with this deck, there's probably a few changes I'd make.

Plot Deck:

-1 The Long Winter.

+1 The Winds of Winter.

I found The Long Winter to be inferior to Winds in this particular deck, mostly due to the lower initiative and reserve. I didn't like playing it first turn because of the 4 reserve, and later on the lower initiative meant I wasn't able to take the initiative.

Draw Deck:

-3 Risen.

+2 Iron Mines.

I never really got to use Risen. The two times I had it my opponent just intrigued it from my hand. Iron mines removes that problem and also helps setup. I'm not even sure I need the saves that much, as I managed to win without ever using any of them. Between Davos and Aeron, my guys were pretty hard to kill (or keep dead).

+1 Great Kracken.

This card was great when I drew it, so I'm thinking I need to make that happen more often.
