I went undefeated with this deck at the Florida regional- 34 players 5 rounds cut to top 8.

I derived this deck from Widied who got the idea from the Brotherhood Without Manners. I made a few small changes that definitely won me games. Originally, I removed all the Milk to add a Rattleshirt's Raiders (due to the renewed prevalence of Milk and to deal with Ward), 1 PttS and, 1 Tears (for extra targeted kill). I tested with this for a few weeks and was very happy with the results. Night before the tournament, without testing, I added 2 Milk back and removed Widow's Wail and TIDFL. Milk did a lot of work when I saw it- stopping Fast Eddie. I was very happy with my tweaks as they most certainly won me games, especially PttS.

Honestly, can't give a full tournament report because I didn't write my games down. I am pretty sure I played these decks but they may be in the wrong order:

1 Greyjoy Fealty- Won quickly with only 1 or 2 power to my 15

2 Bara Kraken- Same as first round

3 Martell Fealty- So sorry to my opponent but my early games I have now forgotten. Should have written something down.

4 Lanni Crossing- This deck gains power really quickly but was able to kill Tywin with a Ptts. I had made it fairly obvious I had this in my hand first round as I went second. I could guarantee a win by 5 if the opponent didn't have a Widow's wail, they did and I couldn't get the event through. I drew a second and lost intrigues purposely to let them remove the second Ptts so they would think they were safe. Worked and killed Tywin to win.

5 Targ Crossing- Interesting Dothraki stand deck I would like to see more of. I let them go first as I had a Tears and Ptts in my hand after setup. They had Aggo, Jorah, Chump reducer, and Drogo out first round. Did 4 challenges all unopposed. I followed second by Ptts Aggo and Tears Drogo. With only Jorah left they never recovered and I quickly won.

Cut to top 8

6 Martell Lion- Pretty even game but was able to stop a Tears on Tywin (due to Nymeria) with an Iron Mines and Tears Nymeria the following turn. Won by going second, doing an intrigue with cersei, opponent used Vengence for Elia, and I used Trial by Combat to clear their remaining board. Also spent the whole game with the Shipwright kneeling Ghaston to keep Tywin safe.

7 Stark Fealty- This match will actually be on AMC Jousting Contest soon and I will link here when it is up. I won by planning for about 4 rounds to kill Robb with Ptts.

8 Martell Lion- This was a good game but I got the best setup you can imagine. Tywin, reducer chump, and rose road and immediately drew into both dupes of Tywin. This deck sets up amazing with all the 1 cost characters (Bronn and 5 reducer chumps). My opponent never saw Ghaston to deal with him so after I drew Seal of the Hand Tywin just kept getting power. This will also be on AMC Jousting Contest.

MVP- Iron Mines- This card let me accept Military claim and targeted kills allowing me to set up my own all day.

Best Tweaks- Readding Milk allowed me to slow opponents down just enough to set up big rounds and the additional Ptts. I saw one almost every game, if I saw it beginning of the game I was able to plan and hold onto it long enough to kill whoever the most important character was.

Well played! I thought I had the finals in the bag with my opening Mountain+Reducer+Roseroad holding onto 2 pieces of removal, but trip Tywin was too much to chew through. My only hope was to get Ghaston to slow down the game until I got into a better board position.

very nice deck! i used a similar list to make top 4 at a regionals but lost to lannister/dragon. How did trial by combat work out for you, i never played with that card. it looks like it really changed one game for you - would you add a second? otherwise in general did using only 2x all the events instead of 3x ever hurt you or did you see them when you needed to?

`@BlueSapphyreI very much enjoyed our game, it was well played.

@YEEZUSTbC worked well. If you get it first round it is great to deal with a Calm that reduces Military. And if your opponent has only good characters and one claim soak you can just follow with marched for a nice effect. Later in the game if combined with Cersei it can really unexpectedly clear a board. But I don't think it is worth two in this deck. It's a card I was never sad to see but I don't think a skilled opponent would let it through twice.

I was very surprised how well only 2x of the events worked. However, I was very strategic with my hand and using the events. With Lanni there is plenty of INT to defend and secure your hand as needed. And I would only the events when I knew they would have a big effect. I think that change of mindset I developed about a week before Regionals was instrumental in making the events work as well as they did.

Glad to see some form of our lanni/kraken deck still putting up results. Gratz on the win bro!

Hi! Just one question! Do you use often Newly Made Lord? I doubt about using it or getting a third Asha? What do you think?

LaurRose 38

@LannisterI didn't use it all day at the Regional but I did find it useful in testing, especially against Ghaston (and Martell was the most played Faction at the Fl Regional).

I think that particular choice comes down to your own play style. I like knowing I have the option in my deck to remove a problematic location. I also don't like having three of a unique character I know I will be willing to kill, it's the same reason I only run 2 Cersei, so I don't end up with a dead draw.

However, some people will prefer to have 3 of a character like Asha to see her every game, which I think is a valid choice. It's just not my choice as I prefer the flexibility.
