"The Game of Thrones LCG regional championships wrapped up last night and a champion was crowned. Congratulations to Alex who took out the prize. Alex's deck is about having "card advantage" over his opponents. With a number of counters like Treachery, Confinement and The Hand's Judgment he almost always had board control over any deck with the addition of the "Top Dog" Tywin Lannister and Ser Jaime Lannister also for good measure The Hound always managed to pop off and onto the table.
Alex only started playing the game two weeks ago and managed to pick it up fast! With his first Regional win under his belt we look forward to seeing him play in the nationals.

Very cool deck, congrats on your victory! Have you considered any Nymeria Sand or Arianne Martell? Those cards are often quite powerful. Also, did you ever feel that you wanted the 3rd copy of Tywin? Anyway can't argue with the results and welcome to the game! |

Thanks guys. Reason I didnt use nymeria sand is because I already have attachments to take icons off and milk of the poppy just op against it making it in to dominance str 4 and nothing else. And arianne martell is just too expensive for what she does. And there alot of things which can go wrong and her ability can be stoped so I rather play card I want from the start. Also her bodyguard would be discarded first time she bounces. Also tywin cost 7 and I only got 3 of 1 cost characters so I dont want to get him at the start and lose him to marched to the wall and be 7 gold behind. So 2 copies for turn 3 or 4 play. Also this deck made for card advantage over opponent and just stalling combos he try to play against you. |

You have 24 cards which are absolutely unplayable on setup ... no idea how you don't lose just then ... A more competitive opponent my shuffle your deck before handing it over and guarantee that there will be some stacks then ... Also Reserve 6k is the norm ... would have expected at least 1 or 2 interesting plots with more reserve. Congratz on the win, however, I totally can't understand how this would win in our meta .... You are weak on MIL and POW ... Jamies makes more sense on MIL challenges, rather than intrigue (which your deck focuses on) ... Even with Tyrion Lannister your Ambushes cost 4 together with 1-2 events, means u should stick with 4 to 6 gold in challenges which is difficult without a Tywin ( and u only play 2 of those with just 3 chuds to compliment him on setup) ... So many questions for me lol |

Dydra it sounds like you have very good point. You should check out other card games and see how decks can be constructed. I played magic for few years and sometimes you need only 6 character cards to have almost unbetable deck. There also alot of different players people like you I assume who play agro and people who play control. But either way card advantage always win the game :) btw this was my first tournament and i didnt copy anything from internet and this was made in 5 days. |

Its straight forward and simple, x3 pretty much every car will make this deck as consistent as can be. To a new player that consistency is what will have really helped him, not having to worry about what certain cards do and what they combo with... just see the same main guys and smash with them all day. high mill presence with Jamei, tywinn and hound will allow for mill before a trial with cersie. it will be able to perform high kills as well as high intrigue. Its failing will be when someone can kill a key character before you can dupe him. From what little i know about the Aus meta it doesnt run too much agro so this shouldnt be an issue for a deck like this. |

I always try to play big and small cost characters together so I can use march to the wall first turn if its worth it. I also can protect my self from high military by playing game of thrones or I can use noble cause in to first snow in to march to the wall. What I find this deck is awesome at stalling your opponent. Taking intrig or military icons of big characters is almost like killing them and all their doubles. Also winning intrig and picking cards out of opponents hand is so powerful specialy if you find strong characters and discard them. And also in this deck tears can kill anything which is so powerful with combination of trial by combat. Potentialy 4 kills in 1 turn. 1 military 2 trial by combal from sercy and 1 from tears. And having power to control the game in general is very strong. |
Oh my god ! Love this one !?!?!?!? Simple to play (very important in tournament to make no mistakes) A lot attachment cards, plot card effects, character effects, all with the propose to have big hands ! Very impressive ;)
