After 2 GNK's of watching my partner Rebecca win the swag, I finally won my own Targ tokens. Martell Fealty, nothing special, just concentrate on clearing the board. I don't think I'd change anything unless expecting NW defence.

W - Matt H - Greyjoy Crossing

W - Adam E - Stark Fealty

W - Courtney W - Targaryen Crossing

Sneak Attack's an interesting call. Purely a closer or did you ever find yourself wanting something less restrictive?

Hi George.

The idea behind Sneak Attack was either as an opener or when I felt like I really needed to win the initiative (opponent Wildfire etc.) along with some 5 gold goodness. In practice, I never opened with it, but the initiative and claim came in handy, and was used more often than not when the board was wiped just to speed the power gain. You're right though, I did want something less restrictive.

In retrospect, I think I would change two plots. I would swap out Counting Coppers and Sneak Attack, for Building Orders and Winds of Winter perhaps... Being able to grab Attainted/Ghaston when facing Mirri on setup would make life a little easier.

@hagarrrI find your eco line plot really weak.

Didn't you get any trouble with this ? It seems to pull on the board The Red Viper.

Also, how did perform ? What would you change in your list ?

Little story - I had Trading with the Pentoshi in the deck in testing yet it was always my 7th plot, so I switched it out for Sneak Attack in the end. The only time I felt money starved when when I wanted to abuse Venomous Blade, but then Wildfire Assault does that job in most games anyhow.

Also, don't forget the Fealty discount- in the first turn or two you're bound to draw some economy (if not, The Long Plan into Counting Coppers will have you see a third of your deck by then).

Honestly, The Red Viper isn't a key card in the deck. I wouldn't want to see him early game, just late game when board superiority is mine and I need a run for power gain.

I would try to find room for Pyromancers and take out a Venomous Blade because NW Defence beats this deck with ease. I would possibly change the plots as mentioned above too. Saw another list on this website with Hedge Knight, which may be a good call to replace Edric Dayne and Harmen Uller, neither of which did too much for me.

Did you like wildfire in this deck?

Yeah I love Wildfire in the deck. You can choose to ignore winning military challenges and focus on intrigue and power, knowing that you can even the board state. Alternatively, if you have Quentyn out, you can leave yourself with a 3 vs 2 advantage if the board is right. I think Martell really enjoy working on a small board with Vengeance, Ghaston, the icon removing attachments and Nymeria, so Wildfire always helps to keep the board in check.

We played this deck a couple of times and really like it. We felt its kinda one of those decks that's great to drive but not so great to be on the receiving end of as it messes with your characters.

We did find though that it can perform quite wildly different based on the initial draw - have had both massive wins and massive losses with it.

Some friends of ours are looking to get into the game so were going to be using this deck as a demo . Thanks again!

@Matwebb Thanks for taking the time out to leave a message. I'm glad you're enjoying the deck, and I hope your friends enjoy the game!
