Big thanks for Stukov on OCTGN, Rebecca Gillard and Chris Schoenthal for inspiration on this deck.
This is my first tourney report and my first deck posted. I need to take more notes next time. I just noted which decks I played against. Only 2 days ago and already have a hard time remembering the games :)
Game 1 versus Martell banner of the Kraken
Highlight: On turn 1 he ran into a dracarys with his Nymeria with 2 dupes. He gave up during the 2nd plot. We were the first match to finish this round. 1-0
Game 2 versus Martell banner of the Lion
This game did not take much longer than the previous one. Highlight: On turn 3 I killed his claim soak with Plaza of Punishment, did a military, he used his Arianne to get the Hound in so he could block my military, only for the Hound to get burned in the face a second time in his life and now being to week to withstand the military might of the Targ army. Board-wipe and a win on plot 3. Again, first game to finish. 2-0
Game 3 versus Lannister banner of the Dragon
My worst match-up during testing. This game took us to 7 plots. It was a nail-biter till the bloody end but I managed to squeeze out a victory. 3-0
Game 4 versus Lannister banner of the Dragon
My 2nd Lannister Dragon of the day. Also ran for 7 plots, but I just couldn't get control over the game. Max is an awesome guy and went to the top table to be beaten by Bambi in the final round of swiss. 3-1
Game 5 versus Baratheon banner of the Kraken
The dutch people i've met during my 3 tourneys I've played are very friendly. Thijs is one the nicest guys! He is also a great player. That didn't help him much during this match. His opening hand had 4/5 limited locations and a single Robert for setup, so he took a mulligan. His flop was a single Ser Barristan Selmy. Barristan quickly marched to the wall. He could marshal a duped Robert and a fiery follower. After the challenge phase only Robert survived because the follower so in love with burning to some dragon fire to the face. Next turn Asha joined the fray and trying to salvage some hope with Khal Drogo on the board he did a Mil stealthing Drogo in the hopes to keeping the damage limited with with Khal intimidated by the awesome belly of Bob. Sadly the dragonfire took out Asha and a 2 mil challenges later both Bob and his dupe were history. Plot 2 win. 4-1
So I was nr 3 in Swiss and top Targaryan. Off to the top 8.
Top 8 versus yes again a Lannister Dragon
A summer harvest vs a trading made sure my newly acquired gold tokens weren't enough. It also made sure I could setup a dominant board position from the start. It was a close game but I could keep the mountain at bay with enough mil on my side of the board. The details are a blur but after a long game I did come out ahead. 5-1
Semi-final versus Targaryan Summer
My opponent had a Targ Summer deck based on recycling and searching all the Targ events. He played very well, with a Daenerys from turn 1. I sadly didn't see my Daenarys or dragons all game and he had enough milks of the poppy to make sure my Mirri couldn't kill anything. When time was 4 minutes away I had to use a summer harvest instead of counting coppers because he was ahead in power. If we had maybe 20 minutes more I think I could have regained control but I drew 2 locations and shook his hand. He went on to do great vs Bammi and win it all. Big congrats to him! 5-2
I really love the possibility of Unsullied and Daeny in a power challenge and killing his 4 strength (or even 8 strength with Dracarys) characters with Plaza after standing Daeny with her handmaidens or Rheagal. Happened a lot during practise but sadly didn't happen all day. Had a blast and would probably take the deck again to a tourney if nothing new came out.
Thanks to all my opponents and Ruben en Remko for organizing a great event.

Yeah, funny how that works. |
Awesome! Glad it worked out, why not three beggar King? Seems pretty key |
Run three Beggar King, swap Rattleshirt's Raiders for Vaes Dothrak and you have more flexible attachment control! ;-) |

I really like Building Orders in a Targ deck. Well done. I love Targ and have been brewing up an almost similar deck. |
Good to see Targ making a comeback :)
