I'd suggest getting to know this decktype. Either that, or be "surprised" by it when something very similar does well at or wins Worlds.

This isnt a final draft but for now its a proof of concept, and one that so far has not lost a game when Tower of the Handand Harrenhal (FFH)are in play at the same time.

Ignore at your own risk. Harrenhal is a super real things. That is all.

I suspect it gets even better when Valar Morghulis is out.

SirLargeness 470

@Kakita_Shiro yeah, I actually plan on moving to "The Rains of Castamere", so Wildfyre can go in the scheme portions of that Agenda, and move Valar in that slot in the main plot selection, but thats a few months down the line

Harrenhal (FFH) w/o Tower of the Hand could hurt your 3x uniques but if both of them get rolling it looks unstoppable. The Hand's Judgment seems crucial to prevent We Do Not Sow and Nightmares from hitting Tower of the Hand. Have you found any problems dealing with attachment control without Confiscation or Rattleshirt's Raiders? Close Call might be a good way to avoid dead cards as well. The only other weakness that I see is having a small setup to be hit with Marched to the Wall or quick military rush down choking your board out. Overall this seems like an extremely well built deck.

Very interesting concept! I am eager to see how this evolves with Valar.

@Cpt. Slurms, Ive added some variation on the uniques, taking out 1x Janos and Both Gregors to fit on 1X Armory, Shea, and Pycell. Building Orders would be the slot I'd change for Close call if you wanted to test it.

On attachments, Milk is the most prevalent and the easiest to deal with, we just bounce whoever is milked with Tower of the Hand. Craven is more difficult to deal with, and i suggest not duping any of you power uniques early as you may want to March them. Ultimately, the games tend to reset down to zero characters on board for both players so early attachments are not super worrysome, and Harrenhal ensures youll be able field an untuached character during challenges. Faced a few aggro decks, games were tough, had to rely on resets immediately, not unwinnable though.

Don't u think it's early for harrenal and will give better results when lions will be out? And why varys and 0x pycelle the only drawing thing in deck except from coppers?

SirLargeness 470

Yeah, i made some changes to the character lineup that i detailed in the post above yours, Pycell is fine. Varys is a reset and we want all of them. Harrenhal of course will get better, this was just to show that it can be great even now. Its still got a long ways to go, but this is basically the proto version of a decktype that will be tier 1 by the time 2017 Regionals roll around. Harrenhal (FFH) all day

Pietroia 56

Mmm cool,i'd pref 3x pycelle due to draw and still do mot like varys in a deck like this but ok Maybe lotc better then fealty cause u've only 4 card loyal and with all dat jumping possible and shae u can easily manage 3 challenge?

SirLargeness 470

Feel free to test LotC as well, Fealty is just a placeholder for "The Rains of Castamere", which will make this deck nuts (along with other cards from lanni box like Kevin Lannister)

Kakita_Shiro 984

Yeah, Kevan is really what this deck needs.

Thanks for sharing. I came up with something close-ish, although without Varys and only 2 each of Harrenhal/Tower. The setups with this list concern me.

SirLargeness 470

@scantrell24, no joke, the setup is shaky at best with this list. Characters will need to be reconfigured in later versions, gregor at the very least i know is coming out to make room for more 1X cheaper uniques

Kakita_Shiro 984

Close Call somewhere? Maybe over Marched?

mplain 237

So what about this deck went wrong that it didn't show up at Worlds?

Kakita_Shiro 984

Terrible set-ups. Inconsisent.

SirLargeness 470

For sure, this has evolved to the Tower of ROC deck I published yesterday

SirLargeness 470

it wook some shifting, and a major overhaul to the plots and aganda (Rains as i predicated) but Tower/Harrenhal is in the deck to beat this regional season. see the update here: thronesdb.com
