The main purpose of this deck is to target specific enemy characters (whoever has power, whoever is giving you the most grief, anyone you want) and kill them. You choose who dies, as often as possible, and otherwise you keep the opponent on their heels throughout the game with targeted killing.

MURDER

Your first murder-combo is Tyene Sand and Nymeria Sand. They work perfectly together, and are a very deadly combo. Nymeria takes an icon away from any character, and Tyene poisons them to death. Plus, Nymeria will be able to attack with Tyene during the challenge. This can be a very powerful combination, easily wiping out a Tywin Lannister, Cersei Lannister, or anyone else that is normally safe from Tyene.

You can further use Attainted to remove icons from potential targets. As it's not a terminal condition, Attainted can be used repeatedly to help Tyene pick off targets one by one.

Your next combo is Spearmaiden with Ser Gregor Clegane. This is very vicious, because you will almost certainly succeed, you'll choose who dies, and Ser Gregor can potentially cause a second death with his pillage ability.

Ser Jaime Lannister (Core) also pairs well with Spearmaiden, particularly his renwon and non-kneeling ability, which lets him help Spearmaiden and then Tyene afterwards.

Finally, you have Put to the Sword, which pairs extremely well with Spearmaiden (giving you two chosen kills in one attack, which can kill someone who even has a duplicate on them). Used in conjunction with Tyene, you can wipe out a chosen character who even has three dupes, all in one phase, or you can clear the board of powerful enemies and leave them with little but weenies.

Next, you have Ser Ilyn Payne to attack your enemy's weak economy characters and other weenies. Combo him with The Boy King for power gain.

For more unfocused killing you have The Tickler and Heads on Spikes. Neither is a guaranteed kill, let alone a targeted kill, but they can help you pick your opponent apart piece by piece, and when they hit they hit hard.

POWER

Now, outside of all this killing you need a means to actually gain power and win. This happens in multiple ways:

  1. You have a lot of characters with renown or who gain power through challenges. Knights of the Sun, Ser Jaime Lannister (Core), Ser Gregor Clegane, Ser Amory Lorch, and The Red Viper are all able to gain power through their built-in card abilities. If you want, you can always take out Battle of Oxcross and add in A Tourney for the King, while also removing any three characters to replace with House Dayne Knight. This gives you 14 possible knights. However, I choose not to use this method because most of your knights gain renown without needing A Tourney for the King.
  2. Doran's Game. You have a good deal of powerful characters and the ability to remove from your opponent's characters. To further ensure Doran's Game fires when you need it to (when it will net you 4+ power), you have Gossip and Lies and allow a full assault of all characters without worrying about defending afterwards. This will further let Ser Jaime Lannister engage in both and challenges without kneeling.
  3. Small Council Chamber will very much benefit you, particularly as you should be making frequent challenges. In combination with Doran's Game you could dramatically flip the game in one shot, let alone with renown characters.
  4. The Boy King should see some use. You have Doran Martell, Ser Jaime Lannister (Core), Ser Gregor Clegane, The Red Viper who can all wear the crown. You can use your targeted killing abilities to ensure you get power for it any turn you need.

Besides simple challenges, these are all good ways to gain power, and fast.

ECONOMY

Your economy consists of Ocean Road which works with both the Lannister and Neutral cards. You also have Blood Orange Grove, The Kingsroad, Desert Scavenger, and Lannisport Moneylender, giving you 15 economy cards total. Desert Scavenger and Lannisport Moneylender further protect your first-round strong characters from a Marched to the Wall, and you can feed them to Fallen from Favor later on.

PLOTS

I chose my plots for two reasons: Money and Initiative. If it doesn't have strong economy, it has strong initiative, and vice versa. Heads on Spikes is the only one that is average at both. Three of these cards give you powerful money swings, with Fallen From Favor being for late game to ditch a weenie for a sudden income spurt when you've used a Starfall Cavalry to draw.

Battle of Oxcross lets you hammer in a Doran's Game when you need it to go off, or to let your Spearmaiden do her thing. Use it when you're essentially guaranteed to let one of those hit.

Gossip and Lies lets your Doran's Game strike by letting you power in your entire army without worrying about defense. Doubly good because of Small Council Chamber.

Heads on Spikes is another means of killing, simply untargeted, and has the benefit of potential power.

Weapons at the Door is condition removal when needed. Just be sure you don't pull off an Attainted when you need ti in play.

OTHER CHOICES

Starfall Cavalry have the right challenge icons for this deck, and they give great card draw later in the game. I think any Martell deck without them is making a grave mistake.

Ghaston Grey is always solid defense. Many decks include three, but I don't think you'll need that many with your targeted murder combined with strong characters to defend with. It's mostly to take out a powerful Daenerys Targaryen or similar character that is slipping through your cracks.

Maester Caleotte is not terribly important, but he is always helpful when he fires off. You're not looking to lose challenges with this deck, but he's not bad to draw into and helps out Tyene when she's trying to poison people. However, Nymeria is simply superior in every way.

Arianne Martell is helpful in bouncing in an unexpected Spearmaiden to surprise your opponent with some targeted killing, possibly after they've already defended with a they would have needed to make sure her ability doesn't fire off.

CONCLUSION

I hope you like the deck, I am a huge fan of Martell and their ability to slaughter characters they want dead is unparalleled. Now get to killin!!!
