I just want to say thanks to all the folks at the Game Cave 2 in Nashville, the tournament was a lot of fun. All the folks I played against were very friendly and very tough opponents.

Round 1 - Eric w/ Tyrell / Lion 1-0

So turns out Ser Gregor Clegane and Ser Lancel Lannister is a thing. A really annoying thing. I had a decent board from the start but my Tywin Lannister (Core) and Cersei Lannister (Core) kept getting milked preventing many shenanigans. I was able to pull off a clever maneuver (I thought it was clever, anyway) of triggering Rains, using Varys's Riddle to copy my opponent's Confiscation, pull the Milk of the Poppy off of Cersei, using Tears of Lys on his duped Gregor, then triggering Trial by Combat to clear some more dudes off the board. I believe at this point my opponent conceded because he wasn't able to find any characters.

Round 2 - Alan w/ Lannister / Rains 2-0

This game was absurd. My opponent had Tywin, Cersei Lannister (LoCR) (who I had to milk twice to prevent her from destroying my hand and rushing tons of power), and Gregor on the board. Meanwhile, my biggest characters all game were Cersei and Chella Daughter of Cheyk, a milked The Hound (I think that helped me more than it hurt) plus a good number of chumps. The only bomb character I saw was Tywin, who was pillaged from my deck by Gregor (RIP). Honestly I'm not really sure how I flipped this one around, but I'm pretty sure it involved Rains into Wildfire Assault into a Trial by Combat w/ Cersei. This was a nightmare to come back from.

Round 3 - Aaron* w/ Targ / Summer 3-0

This was it. The finals. Playing for that sweet sweet playmat. This game was summed up by the phrase "Lannister gonna Lannister". I think by turn 2 I had Tywin, Tyrion, Cersei, and Gregor all out on the board with a couple dupes. There isn't much you can do to turn that around. I even made a horrible mistake of committing Cersei or Tyrion (can't remember which) to a challenge when my opponent had a standing dragon and he proceeded to Dracarys! me. Luckily, I had a copy of The Hand's Judgment to save my ass after that fumble. The game ended when The First Snow of Winter took care of those pesky dragons and I was able make challenges without worrying about a Dracarys. I didn't even need to use Rains at all this game (I had two opportunities to use it and I definitely forgot to trigger it one of those times), with a board as good as I had, it's basically a win more card.

*Special shout out to Aaron (I really hope that's your name, I'm terrible at remembering names), I enjoyed our game quite a bit despite it being somewhat lopsided. I greatly appreciated bantering back and forth with you during and after the game.

I have a lot to say about your list.

First, gongratz for your result.

About the list :

By looking at your event and your plot, I can assume that your gameplan is to murder your opponent board. You will grab eventually power, but because you choose Cersei Lannister (Core)over Cersei Lannister (LoCR) one I assume that you're not here to gain trough Power Gain.

On this statement, Small Council Chamber seems very bad. Most of the time it won't grab the power you needed to win, because you will have wiped out your opponent board and this card will not make an change.

On characters, Bronn seems cluncky. It is ok to improve your Tywin setup, but that's all. You're not playing any taxes effect like Paid Off, Brothel Madame or Alayaya so your opponent will easily be able to pay for it, while you must keep gold to play your gamechanger event.

The split between Red Cloaks and Lannisport Guard is bit weird. There is no reason to play just 2 of them, the main reason is cuting space for unique character. Because there is not The Tickler in the list, I would suggest to cut Red Cloack for one more Guard and The Tickler.

The rest of the list is fine.

In the plot line, I would suggest a 2 claims plot, in order to make Trial by Combat even better, with or without Cersei. Same with the Scheme, Sneak Attack is great in order to apply a two claim on your Int challenge with Trial by Combat.

Yes, @psuczyns, you got my name right. I played you in the third match. I feel like I did "ok" ending with 9 power, considering you saw almost every card you wanted to.

I also really enjoyed our match. I'd much rather play a game with a little banter back and forth than be silent and intense the whole time. Congrats on the win and that sweet mat.

@Nestalimthanks for the feedback. i added a copy of Small Council Chamber to add a little bit of extra power gain to the deck, especially since with Casterly Rock i'd be able to win as many as three intrigue challenges per turn. ideally a rushy power grab sort of deck would use Cersei Lannister (LoCR) and i may experiment with such a build next time. i left the Red Cloaks and Lannisport Guard from the deck i derived it from because i didn't see any reason to switch it up, but that is good advice. that deck also included a copy of The Long Winter instead of Summons but i found myself sometimes starved for heavy hitters in playtesting so i decided to swap the two.

@aaronly that's true, you did have a good amount of power at the end there. i blame Viserys Targaryen (AtSK) and his sneaky power challenges =P plus Khal Drogo with his Drogo's Arakh doing some work early on. thanks again!
