The deck have good results this season :

3-1 at trident (november 15 players), 4-1 at local december tournament (20 players) and 5-0 at Toulouse store (than losing top 4, 24 players).

In training pits, the deck have incredible winning percentage too. The deck is not autopilot like some tyrell or lannister and demand lot of practise to adapt to each match up. Some weakness spotted against some NW and some barath (or multi reset hard control decks more generally speaking) but overall results are excellent. when the deck win it tend to win massively destroying utterly opponent table once played well (do not overcommit early, try some start with dany and dragons than when valar hit, go for trading and deploy your aggro side).

After testing lot of targ possible, i quit playing dothrakis and other banners.

Same deck in LOTC had good results (more stability having key cards X3 like miri and illiryo and more draw / tutor) but have difficulties keeping key characters on table against some archetypes well played over here.

In targ we don't have dozens of uniques to deploy every turn with upgraded economy like tyrell or lanni so our 3 ones must be protected at all cost.

so this was a meta call to play banner GJ this season even if less stable...

If this could help someone to win something since my next big tournament will be Paris tournament of the Hand, you are welcomed ! Go Targ !

why not victarion ?

Victarion was here at the trident and maybe at december tournament in X1... I cut him off for store to work on my gold curve as I was prepared to play lot of aggro or multi reset... The character was rarely entered in play as there was lot of priority (drogo, miri, dany and illyrio).

Asha was not played in the same mindset, i would play more illyrio before playing asha...

How good is Mirri still? Does she easily trigger?

Also, the raiding longships seem out of place with 4 plots with 1 or 0, and trading being 2. Not being able to control the card makes it much less strong. What is your take on that.

I tried to remove totally miri or play her X1 at first but this was a mistake. This deck is able to maintain her on table and moreso she is taking any form of control immediatly. If not and able to trigger only once, this often change totally the game.

So in this deck she is clearly worth the problem of entering her as she let any other uniques go freely and return the game if not controlled.

You are right : the deck have not on paper an high initiative but this is on paper only. I play it like a "burst" aggro not a sustained like stark can be for ewample : playing low profile at first then delivering hell on my opponent on one or two turns... This is why anticipating valar / reset is very important with this deck : you must be ready and you must be very aggressive the turn opponent reset to be sure he will never come back. In this matter the deck manage often to use raiding... not everyturn and not often on first two turns sure but once or two by game sure !

Further the goal is to achieve to destroy any table whatever the configuration and some lannister, stark or baratheon tables are hard to overrun in MIL sometimes... Miri and raiding are part of the plan to open a window in those defenses and make them crumble....

This is my thoughts on raiding and miri, raiding is not autoinclude overall but is helpful (like plaza would be against bran or selyse) but miri is IN THIS DECK (not in every targ)...
