Not much to say here, deck is derived from Benji, who wrote how it works.

Some minor thoughts/changes:

  • Tested change in plotline from First Snow to Valar pre-tournament. In the semi-final this would have probably won me the game, but in others First Snow was golden. I think in the end it's a choice which plot you prefer personally.
  • Removed Seal of the Hand and added one more Bodyguard. In the end, i think 2 bodyguards are enough, one seal may be worth it. As i did not play the seals, i also removed Ser Kevan Lannister - i had enough gold and did not need a re-use of a kingsroad.
  • The Iron Throne and Small Council Chamber gave me some more power gain. This was a meta call especially versus NW-Wall decks (and Bara). I would leave both locations in the deck, but there where no NW players in the tournament. I did not see any of the locations in my Bara-matchup.

Short report:

Game 1: Mirror match vs. Lanni Rains. I saw all my bomb chars, my opponent not. I think i was superior in board state the whole game. My opponent also made it to the semi-finals. Lanni Rains is strong.

Game 2: Stark Banner Kraken. My opponent played no Valar, it was some kind of Power-Rush-deck. His setup and first round weren't great, with many low costers. First Snow hit hard, and from there it was easy to win.

Game 3: Stark Banner Kraken again, but more aggressive with Valar. I totally knew from the beginning that he would play Valar, so i attacked his Dupes and Bodyguards. Two milks on Catelyn Stark (Core) helped with my Agenda. He was still a little better in board state when valar came, but he thought i would play marched on that turn - he had 3 5/6 costers, two of them were duped. But marched wasn't in my plotline, so i played Counting and was able to come back fast, thanks to duped Tywin Lannister (Core). It was a hard game, but a win in the end.

Game 4: Bara Rains. Unfortunately he did not see Melisandre (Core) or The Red Keep the whole game. I attacked his hand and discarded Robert Baratheon and Ser Barristan Selmy (TS) after some rounds. When i killed Selyse Baratheon, it was finally over.

King of Swiss. Yeah. But the well known curse was already waiting.

Semi-Final: Rematch vs. Stark Banner Kraken from Game 2. It was a disaster. I saw most of my bombs, but made some minor mistakes. My opponent made no mistakes, played Winterfell and Catelyn Stark (Core) and stopped all my tricks playing defensively. I couldn't stop his renowns. It ended 9-15 without any chance for me to win.

Thanks guys for a great tournament.

nice deck and congrats on king of swiss. i like the bodyguards and 3x all of the main people - so many lanni rains decks use no bodyguard and only 2x jamie/cersi. did you find tears/ptts better than the trial by combat tricks with wildfire and rains? also did you miss having a 2-claim plot at all? finally, the iron throne/small council chamber - would you keep it at one of each? or did one perform better than the other? thanks for sharing this idea

Thanks, but most congrats should go to Benji. I constructed a similar deck before he posted his one, but his thoughts gave my deck an essential push.

I tested tears vs trial. It was a tough decision (i included both for some games), but in the end i think trial is better with cersei and/or 2 claim plots. Tears, however, is a cost-efficient targeted kill, even with his target restriction. But you will find a nice target in most games.

I did not miss a 2-claim-plot, this deck ist not about pure killing. When i use those plots, i also run marched, and core cersei, and trial by combat....but with so many changes, you have an entirely different deck. This deck has some aggressive potential, but when you cannot use this potential in some games, you can still attack your opponents hand and control the board. This deck is versatile, and that's what makes it strong.

In this deck, i think small council chamber is a little stronger, especially with casterly rock. I don't think that it is a mistake to run two chambers, but i made a meta call and took one throne for Bara-matchups. However, this was a last minute change, and i did not see the throne throughout the tournament.
