This deck carried me to victory in the store championship at Foam Brain Games against a sweltering 23 opponents. The opposition was top-notch, and very much the equal to my group of hardened Rochester players who made the long trip eastward to compete. Much thanks to all my fantastic opponents.

Modus Operandi:

Step 1. GET LOTSA POWA.
Step 2. GET MOAR POWA.
Step 3. WINZ.

MVP Cards of the Day:

Septa Mordane - This gal makes Sansa into absolute beast of a power grabber. She was also able to demoralize my final opponent into conceding when she immunized Arya against his Wildfire Assault.

Nymeria - You know what's great? Intimidate. Turns out that there's a reason it's the rarest keyword.

"Wolf in the Night" - Remember Giant Growth from Magic? The card that was in every green deck ever? This is that card. And it should be in nearly every Stark deck. Winning challenges, luring your opponent into ineffective defense, and gaining power are good things, I'm told. The trick here is to play one early; then the opponent will think you have one in every attack you make for the rest of the game.

Why bannering to Martell? I can see Nymeria Sand being good and all, but why not any other house, and especially Baratheon for the kneel package and Cressen?

I started out doing Stark Crossing for power rush, but was consistently finding that I had problems with control. Winterfell was not viable (as the games typically only last 3 rounds), so I used the Sun banner purely as a control package. His Viper Eyes can get rid of troublesome Milks and Dracarys, and the Bastard Daughters provide more hand pressure to supplement Stark's weak intrigue. Martell also fits the power rush aspect well, since they sport the cheapest Renown character in the game (Myrcella). Arianne is also useful, with several fantastic targets (Greatjon's Vanguard or Myrcella during challenges, Sansa during dominance). Edric helps push through the necessary challenges to trigger Eddard. Nymeria is actually underwhelming, I've found, as she tends to be blanked or cancelled, and I don't have time to waste Confiscation in curing her; I may end up switching her out for another Arianne and Myrcella.

Yes, makes sense. Which is what led me to ask in the first place. Nymeria isn't something fantastic against Nightmares/Milks, and she is even completely useless if he gets hit by one of the two, and then the only thing that helps from Martel is HVE. In general I think that the Mel kneel would give much more unopposed power than Myrcella.

Interesting Deck, I built it last night for our casual playtesting and didn;t lose a single game. Its fast, Very fast. I found Sansa was my MVP having her Setup in every game. I never got to trigger Wolf in the Night / I never saw it. I get the Idea behind the card but I feel its very conditional. I'll do some further testing. How do you feel the deck holds up to Valar? My playgroup doesn;t usually play it in testing but It seemed fine. Card draw is the big thing here I found but I was getting some lucky top decks and when you rush power so fast even if you don't see your big boys then can't let anything go unopposed.

card draw is an issue im finding, although i havent lost with this deck yet! i like the wolf event for cheeky intrigue wins with catelyn or sansa :)

@skreidVery cool deck. My two favorite houses. Congrats on taking down a nice tourney. Built this today and excited to play it this week.

Would you change the plots around at all?

Im going to slot in a summons to help out in the draw department. Sometimes seeing a certain character is all you need to win a close game. I feel like double winter festival is great for the pressure but id rather have a little more consistent games by seeing characters I need and can use. (I may have just had a bad run in with our friend the mountain and killed eddard sansa and arya.
