Jousting Contest
Reviews

A tricky plot, but if used correctly it will guarantee that you win multiple challenges during the round. Jon Snow can participate on offense, despite the restrictions here. Margaery Tyrell and all of the strength boosting effects can also guarantee you have more strength at your disposal than your opponent.

Unfortunately, the best decks don't really have any trouble winning challenges, so this plot will likely fall short of being generally good. Maybe if very defensive decks become a tournament staple.

Maybe useful in a deck that wants to lose the "right" challenges, e.g. Martell? — subpoenaduece 19

Rules FAQ

  • Jousting Contest only limits the number of characters that can be declared during the "normal" steps for declaring attackers (step 4.2 in the flowchart) and declaring defenders (step 4.2.1). Players are still able to add characters to the challenge outside of the normal declaration steps through card abilities such as Winterfell Kennel Master.
