The following deck won me a small GNK tournament in Frankfurt today. https://thrones.tourneygrounds.com/tournaments/8522

The idea is to utilize the element of surprise and devastation that certain events possess. To trigger the likes of Trial by Combat and Put to the Sword easily, the rather recent addition of The Highroad certainly plays a role.

In order to advance this idea strong icons and additional challenge gold will be going along quite nicely.

The new card of Castamere will reduce your foes to ashes especially when used with Cersei Lannister (Core) or You Win Or You Die.

Game 1: Aljosha Qohor 1-0 Aljosha pointed out to me that my deck with At the Gates was illegal so I quickly swapped the card for A Noble Cause. While Aljosha improved on the deck massively, the initial deck idea was mine so I knew what tricks to expect. He found an early Desert Raider and I found no kill cards except Castamere which didn't do much here so the game dragged for quite a while. Him having fewer cards in hand, bad draw and thus a weaker resulting board state sealed the deal with my renown. I even had three power on Tyrion Lannister (Core) with the help of The Warden of the West. Sweetsleep came in clutch against Anders Yronwood and his Bodyguard and Sword of the Morning. Nightmares took away his Intimidate.

Game 2: Marcus Prince 2-0 Marcus announced Victarion Greyjoy as his prince and set up some drowned god characters. So soon enough I found out his Prince was in fact the new Victarion Greyjoy (ATT). Marcus' deck is solid and he started doing Drowned God things. Cersei discarded two No Godless Man which was lucky. Round 2 Cersei, Tyrion and a chud were hit by ValarM. Only Tywin was saved. I crawled back into the game. Marcus made the mistake to put Victarion Greyjoy (ATT), who at the time was on the board, into his dead pile from hand by means of Nagga's Ribs. The cudgel was neutralized by Sweetsleep. Later the Ribs were Put to the Torch and Victarion was Put to the Sword, thanks to Treachery on his own effect. Thus he had two instances of his Prince in the dead pile. I finished with You Win Or You Die and Castamere. Even Drowned God didn't like four claim plus Ser Robert Strong.

Game 3 Palpa Sea of Blood 3-0 My setup was Cersei Lannister (Core), Burned Men, Sweetsleep and The Goldroad. His was Kindly Man (SoB!), Jhogo (TS) and The Kingsroad. Round One I opened Marched and he opened Maiden. I marched Burned Men, he marched Kindly Man. I was able to bring in Great Hall and Ser Jaime Lannister (Core). He marshaled a card into shadows and Rakharo (DotE). I used Treachery on the Kingsroad. I attacked with Cersei Lannister (Core) and played Trial by Combat thanks to the Goldroad. This cleared the board. He didn't have gold left to bring out Aegon. Next round I played Ser Gregor Clegane (TKP) and had enough gold left for either Put to the Sword or Gunthor Son of Gurn. He had Missandei and not much else and thus conceded to end the game Round Two.

Good job! All those int-kill claims make Lanni an even bigger threat now. I think you were a bit lucky with my bad hand (Having 0 locations and 0 events sucks!), but going all in with Marched was very smart and sealed it turn 1. Too bad I couldnt get this Targ box ;)

I felt Mil and Int claim wasn't worth much in most of my games with other factions. So I was thirsty for a deck like this.
