I had to switch to Bara Fealty 10 minutes before the tournament because my friend forgot his deck. I was lucky that I built two decks for the tournament, my back up being Bara Fealty.

The deck is slightly different than most builds in a few ways:

2 Hands Judgement

The Lanni and Targ match ups are already difficult, having answers to their kill effects really helps, being able to cancel a Dracarys or Things I do for Love really changes the landscape of games.

1 Support of the People

The Red Keep is the most important card in the deck, with it you have your draw locked up and will be able to have constant answers to the threats your opponent can play, without it the deck can sometimes fall flat at times. You can run out of Rhllor cards or not draw into that chud you need.

2 Hunting Parties

The Hunting Party really helps you defend high strength military challenges, is a good target for Ours is the Fury and is awesome in the mirror. At first I disliked the card but I have grown to really like the card. It fills a follow void that the deck used to have.

No Seal of the Hand

I had to make some concessions to be able to get to 15 neutrals. This card every good but I felt that the other neutrals were more important, you could drop the bodyguard for a Seal if you were so inclined.

The two new cards in the deck really shone, Support of the People makes the deck more consistent and the Warhammer gives some much needed Dracarys protection and can help you swing games with the high kneel potential.

Congratulations on a good performance!

It’s getting more and more cemented that Bara Fealty is a very strong deck, and this is not an exception. A little bit saddening that the deck hasn’t evolved that much though, this is pretty much the same deck I’ve seen since the release of the core set, with a few changes (Support of the People and King Robert’s Warhammer). I’m surprised you ran Confiscation instead of Here to Serve to fetch Maester Cressen. Care to walk me through that decision?

@raekob Here to Serve is horrible with a single Maester, I want to be able to get rid of pesky Seals if I need to and that is why I run confiscation. I didn’t see a single Milk all tournament and against Bara they are arguably the least important. I have enough draw that I will see a Cressen and if I don’t before I need to get rid of a Milk the plot is always there as insurance.

Nice deck, i run a similar one to this. How do you like Little Bird? I am thinking of adding 2 with the next chapter when we get to change Vanguard Lancer with Royal Entourage…

Did a few playtest yesterday with some friends and I have to say, this deck is great, Rob’s Warhammer did with me a game and I really like it to be in the deck. I did make some changes to the deck. Instead of having a copy of Little Bird, I decided to replace it with Seal of the Hand, that’s my only changes to the deck.

The deck and the tuning of the deck is very dependant on both preference and your local scene. In a vacuum I would run this setup. Protecting a Stannis and Robert is more important than the extra stand to me. I would make room for a second Lightbringer if I wanted the stand. Making sure Bob is still there to me is more important.

@C3gorach I really am interested about a Royal Entourage, I would probably run a banner like Rose, Lanni or Sun if I were to include him. Bara Sun will be sweet with kneel, icon stripping and Robert. Nymerea is a real winner.

@Barnie25 Thanks for the output, my local meta is full of GJ decks and I seldom see any treats from Tears of Lys, well not yet. I will definitely give Little Bird a try and see if it’s better. i will have another playtest coming up soon as i prefer for Winter GNK and Store Championship.
