What has rapidly become obvious to me is that removal is at a premium in the Core set, and with the hugely powerful 'uber' Uniques flying around like Robert and Balon having the ability to point at your opponent's best card and remove it from play is going to be critical.
All the removal is focussed together here: Dracarys!, Plaza of Punishment, Put to the Sword, Tears of Lys, Melisandre, Stealth, and controlling plots.
In Core 2.0 nothing matters more than killing characters and this deck is VERY good at that.
