Rules FAQ

  • If Candle in the Dark enters play after attached character has already been bypassed by stealth, it will not allow the character to be declared as a defender in that challenge.

  • A triggered ability is any ability with a boldface precursor, such as an Action or a Reaction, including forced abilities. You can also cancel your own triggered abilities.

  • If a card with the printed shadow keyword is blanked or has lost the shadow keyword in some other way, it is not considered to have shadow.

  • You can attach Candle in the Dark to an opponent's character, but you cannot kneel that character to pay the cost of the ability. An opponent's game elements may not be used to pay a cost. (See Costs.)

  • If Candle in the Dark is canceled, attached character still kneels.
