This deck won a local tournament in Sydney, Australia, after going undefeated in a Swiss-only tournament with a field of 20 players.

How was Bodyguard doing? I am cutting it to zero in my recent Bara builds since it doesn’t help againt Dracarys and meta is filled with Targs.

3x Lightbringer was really that usefull? I mean it’s great on Robert or Stannis and it’s R’hllor but 3 seems like an overkill. Wouldn’t you want to draw Seal of the Hand in place of a third (or even second and third) Lightbringer?

There are many big guys in the deck as well as costly events, aren’t you short on gold too often with your plot setup? Wouldn’t you want to have some more income-heavy plots, like Calling the Banners?

Hi Concept.

It’s true that Bodyguard doesn’t help with Dracarys, but it does help against Tears and Put to the Sword, both of which are commonplace. An early Bodyguard on a random lord or lady also helps the slow starts that this deck sometimes has by negating one military claim for a turn and keep your board presence up. Bodyguard was useful as it stopped my opponent from ‘wasting’ his Tears on Stannis on at least one occasion.

Initially, the deck did not have 3x Lightbringer. That idea came from someone else, and I thought it was overkill at first, but in practice I never once regretted it. Seal of the Hand is more expensive and is not a R’hllor card. For Melisandre Lightbringer is kneel fuel, for Stannis it speeds up your win, and for Robert it turns him into an absolute monster. I also found that a single Lightbringer on Robert or Stannis is quick to be hit by Confiscation. Seal of the Hand is definitely a good card in certain factions, but I believe Lightbringer is invaluable here.

No, I was rarely short on gold. The first turn is slow as often you only marshal Melisandre and can afford little else, but once you get rolling, you’re fine. Fealty helps you afford Robert, Stannis, Lightbringer, Consolidation, and Ours is the Fury.

@Hybrid92What changes would u make with the new TTB chapter pack to your deck?

@YellowJacket

I would definitely try to find room for 2x Support of the People. Finding the Red Keep in this deck is absolutely imperative. Not sure what I would cut for it; maybe Hand’s Judgment or Bodyguard.

I’m not sold on King Robert’s Warhammer yet. Seems like a flashy ‘win-more’ card, I’ll have to test it out. Renly definitely does not belong in the deck.

@Hybrid92Thanks bud. Im basically new to the game. Looking for a good Bara control kneel deck to try out since Im currently using Martell/Rose deck at the moment.

@Hybrid92Will you make any changes to the deck with any new cards from the TtB chapter pack?
