The deck has been discussed on Banter Behind the Throne for the last few weeks. After a week or so of testing on OCTGN I decided to take it to a small local tournament. Went undefeated on the day beating my co host Dave in the final.

I’m a big fan of the Watch/Wolf builds going around but for me the Stag brings significantly more to this package.

@OldShrimpEyesWhat deck you went up against?

He discusses it on the podcast but I believe it was Bara Fealty, Martell Rose and Lannister Sun.

Wolf pack 1

Why only 2 Mel?

Sorry for taking so long to respond to this, @Wolf pack. Originally this entire build didn’t even run Mel. The Baratheon element was here purely for the efficient low end characters and the Chamber of the Painted table. @mrdavconvinced me to try running Mel as one off kneel card akin to a Enemy Informer from the first edition, but with the added benefit that most people will soil their breeches upon seeing her and dedicate their efforts to removing her. As time went on and cards were chopped from the deck and space started to become available I found the introduction of a full rhllor suite to be the logical way to go and things went from there.

This deck tends to draw pretty well whilst not relying entirely on kneel for the win so running her as a 3x just seemed to be a bit unnecessary. If you wanted to make her a more consistent presence then swapping out Davos isn’t terrible, I guess, but really just the two has never given me cause for concern.
