This was the last undefeated deck after three rounds, at the lovely Mox Boarding House in Bellevue, WA. Three rounds is a small sample, but it was a surprisingly good turn out for the day after Christmas. On the day it won over Targ/Lion, Bara/Watch, and Bara Fealty. I’m hesitant to say this is one of the best decks in the current meta, but it certainly has few if any weaknesses

There’s a splash of Stealth and Ambush for Greyjoy. Ned, Seal of the Hand, and The Hound for Bara Kneel. Bran and Hand’s Judgement for Targ. Treachery for Varys and Ghaston Grey. Top this off with strong econ and good setups, targeted kill, and Renown and you have a potent deck.

The second A Noble Cause in this deck is probably a sub optimal choice. I’m going to start testing a replacement for it. Currently I’m thinking about either Sneak Attack or A Clash of Kings as a high initiative finishing plot.

Congrats on the win! I’ve been playing a similar list. I see you don’t have Cersei’s Wheelhouse, Cersei or Joffrey.

i tested the Wheelhouse for awhile, removing one of the Widow’s Wails for it, but my local playgroup was heavily into aggro decks and taking first player (the initiative in this deck is pretty bad), so it was almost always a dead card. It probably would have put work in during this tournament, as I was matched up against more control decks. It’s a tough call, but probably worth more testing.

Cersei, on the other hand, just falls into that group of awkward four cost cards, that aren’t quite good enough, but are too expensive to be claim soak. She was replaced for a two drop.

The more I think about it the more I like the potential power rush aspect of Joffrey, especially considering the high number of lords and ladies, but I decided against it since I was not going to be running Wildfire for that potential game ending three power push.

You could probably cut a Tumblestone for one copy of him without really messing up the gold curve and giving the deck a little more versatility. Though, I am considering cutting a Tumblestone for a third copy of Widow’s Wail, as I think it might be one of the most underrated cards in the core set, and it would bump up the attachment count, possibly preventing Twyin from getting claimed by the Chair.
