Here’s the infamous Long Voyage deck I took to US Nats. It may not have finished above Andy Boyd to win my wager made on the Win By 5 podcast - but it was good enough to make the top 8!
Like many of my decks, it was born out of 8 Regents, and it appealed to me due to its resiliency to attrition, meme-ability, and just how dang fun it is to play.
The deck is straightforward enough. The super power of TLV is you don’t have to pack a draw plot or gimmicks to generate extra draw (think sub optimal attachments in VS). The deck packs as many Tyrell renown characters in the deck as possible and rushes to victory with renown and double winter festival. If the initial rush stalls, you can change the strategy by resetting with VM, and starting over with your high Econ plots. The deck also includes 3x of the typical counter cards (milk, nightmares, HJ) so nearly every card drawn has a use.
The shuffling isn’t as bad as everyone jokes about. Take TLV for a spin and enjoy!
I'm sad I didn't get to see this for myself, especially how much traction the list got on the K7M discord. I'm sure the remnants of the legendary moustache are now scattered all across Fox Lake.
