This is pretty much bluebird503’s list from a previous tournament with a Crown of Gold and extra Treachery replacing a Tears of Lys and Things I Do.
Went 4-1 in Swiss and 1-1 in elims, 3rd of 27 players, beating Stark Fealty (won with bash bros), Lannister Fealty (won with early Dracarys on Cersei and Tyrion), Bara/Sun (won with early Crown of Gold on Mel and grinded things out), Night’s Watch Fealty (fun, close match but I had enough renown to pull out the win), and a Stark/Rose power rush (razor close 15-14 win due to renown).
Lost in Swiss in a mirror match where my opponent got Dany and I didn’t. I couldn’t control the board and had a hard time drawing Power Icons. Other loss was to Bara Fealty. I got Seal on Drogo early to wreak havoc but after it was confiscated my opponent Stannis locked me and Selyse plus dupes made Stannis indestructible, then I played into a pretty brutal Wildfire. I drew Illyrio late, might have changed things but my opponent was a very strong player I have yet to beat in a tournament. I think the Bara matchup is winnable if played right.
Love the deck, lots of big threats and enough targeted kill that I didn’t miss Milk of the Poppy. Enough econ to afford big characters and a wide enough curve to setup well, especially when you have undercosted beaters like the Hound and Ser Jorah. Illyrio and Tyrion are just disgusting together. I did have trouble drawing cards in matches where I didn’t find Dany. I’m going to try dropping Winds of Winter for Summons. Winds was better at keeping me from losing than winning, and at times it felt like a total banana, whereas Summons seems more useful at any stage in the game. I like Treachery too much to play any number less than 3, 3 Hands to make sure your Dracarys sticks and general utility, and 1 Tears because I’m not a huge fan of it in the current meta.
