I could have built and played Tyrell Watch defense a thousand times and never arrived at that event lineup. Congrats!

Was the Mander helpful at all? Maybe replace it with Street of the Sisters instead?

jcwamma 2842

Personally I found the Mander helpful. Strret of the Sisters I think would be tough to reliably trigger, as while you can often win by 5 on defence, being able to specifically win by on defence on the power challenge is very difficult to guarantee, and it would be VERY tricky to win by 5 on attack. This is the same reason the deck doesn't run Support of the People.

Hey there congratulation !

How would you uptade this beauty with The Arbor and FSoW ?

jcwamma 2842

Thanks @Avelfaltazi. Apologies for the delayed response.

I think this deck is highly resource-intensive, and requires 3x Arbors, in place of the 1x Rose Garden, 1x Olenna's Cunning and 1x Kingsroad. First Snow obviously upsets the character base a lot, but honestly I'm not entirely sure what I'd actually change. Possibly the Unsworn Apprentices and Veteran Builders should be cut down to 1-2x each, and those spots invested at characters in the 4/5-cost slot (Rattleshirt's? House Florent Knight (with The Wall helping make sure it doesn't backfire)? Ghost? Tough one). Also needs a Shadow Tower as a cheeky 1x somewhere!

Wamma! With craster and other tool this deck still remain a difensive deck?

jcwamma 2842

@Baronerosso I think the deck can be made offensive or defensive. Craster is a fun tool to push a rush build with; my concern would be that Night's Watch doesn't have 12 cards that make for a good rush banner yet. Benjen isn't terrible, neither is Ghost, and Ranging Party is always solid - but those are all 4 or 5 cost cards. So I think the Craster route will be more valuable once NW gets some more good cheap cards to slot in. (Also Qhorin. Efficient Renown bodies tend to be welcomed...)

Meanwhile, from a defensive standpoint, Offer of a Peach (and to an extent Brienne too) is just so nice for this deck that I'm somewhat tempted to return to it from that mindset. (Banner of the) Watch this space...
