This is a deck I piloted to a regional victory at Gigabytes Cafe in Atlanta, GA on May 7, 2016, in 28 player field. It is a slight update of a version I used to win a store champ.

The strategy is simple: Play a deck with Tywin, Tyrion and Nymeria, 3 of the best characters in the game. Use all the Martell icon removal to control the board, murder as much as possible and slowly gather power, ideally with Tywin.

Plots are straightforward resources or challenge control. Only thing I would really change in the deck is find room for Confiscation, probably Game of Thrones since that is the most matchup dependent. I hadn't realized how much Mirri pushed Milk back into meta. Naval tends to surprise people but I played a lot of Greyjoy where it didn't do much this time.

Below I'll run through a quick tournament summary (Sorry of the vagueness. Guess I should start taking notes. I do remember the thrilling finals match quite well.) Thank you for reading and any suggestions to refine the list. Thank you to the organizers for an extremely well run tournament and Gigabytes for providing the best place to play in Atlanta.

Round 1-Store Champ Bye

Round 2-Greyjoy Fealty-Win Set up Tywin and money. Greyjoy player was only able to get Reader and chuds for the first 3 turns and tried to be aggressive with them so I was able to get a lot of unopposed and Tywin power. He milked Tywin twice but Rattleshirt did his job. He got Euron eventually but cancels on Warships stopped him from winning any challenges against Tywin. 4 plots.

Round 3-Greyjoy Fealty-Lose Set up Nymeria but she got milked turn one and I couldn't clear it. We both started slow but all 3 We Do Not Sow hit econ locations and he got Reader/Kraken draw engine going and I couldn't keep up. 6 plots

Round 4-Martell Lion-Win Set up Tywin, Nymeria turn one, Naval hit opening Noble Cause. Two Tears, Sword and a desperation First Snow on his part helped clear his board on turn 3. 4 plots.

Round 5-Greyjoy Dragon-Draw Opponent and I were 3/4 seeds and ID guaranteed us both top 8. He was playing a Mirri deck. We played a friendly game and I got wrecked. Very glad I didn't have to play a for real Mirri deck all day. It was the matchup I was/am most afraid of. Naval can do a lot of work here though. You should read his awesome decklist and tourney report here https://thronesdb.com/decklist/view/4449/greyjoy-dragon-atl-regional-top-4-1.0

Top 8- Martell Crossing Got a bad mulligan but neither of us draw economy. Got all 3 Nymerias and was able to tears his. Icon removal and Brothel Madame stopped him from getting any Crossing power. Had a Ghaston all game but didn't use it until I got a big guy. Think that was a mistake considering the lack of econ. Dropped Jaime turn 5 and was able to able to close shortly after. 7 plots.

Top 4- Greyjoy Fealty This was a rematch of round 3 with fate on the other side. Set up Tywin, he got milked but I got Nymeria turn 1 and Tyrion turn 2. He had Balon, Asha and Aeron out turn 1 but saw no ships and no saves. Able to put Balon to the sword turn 2 and control Asha. He drew no characters after that and it was quickly over. Bronn did a lot of work here helping stop Balon and winning dominance. 4 plots.

Finals- Lannister Crossing This was a removal heavy jumping Lanni deck. Set up Syrio, Caleotte and Roseroad against Bronn, Pycelle, Cersei and location reducer. I opened Naval hoping I hit, steal Bronn and clear his board. Almost worked when he opened Noble Cause but he was able to get out reducer and Joffrey. Tears and Syrio killed those two and board ending in status quo except Bronn was on my side. I threw Widow's Wail on Bronn to stop his big intrigue and to throw some spice into the Bronn sweepstakes. ]

Turn 2 I played Noble Cause against His First Snow. After snow it was Jaime+Syrio against Pycelle+Cersei. Burned Men dies for their lords but the Crossing math meant he couldn't win intrigue.

Turn 3 I played Calm. Can't remember his. Got Brothel Madame and Caleotte out. He was only able to get out the Hound and some reducers. Brothel Madame is great against Crossing especially after in a snow recovery turn. By the end of the round board was about the same. So far challenges have been about even and power was about 4ish each.

Turn 4 I played Filthy against Fortified Position. I knelt the Hound and finally started drawing extra econ. We discussed after that this was probably a misplay by him since we both had characters with good abilities and this wasn't great timing especially because he was able to get duped Gregor out. I responded with Tyrion. Gregor killed the Madame but I got Tears on the Hound.

Turn 5 was the turning point. I played Calling the Banners against his Wildfire. I kept Caleotte, Jaime and Tyrion against his Gregor, Pycelle, and Cersei. He played Jaime with a dupe but I got Nymeria, Bronn and a milk on Jaime. Nymeria controlled Gregor and he couldn't get anything through.

Turn 6 I played Game of Thrones. Can't remember his. He played Tyrion and I only played Bastard Daughter. But Nymeria stole Tyrion's intrigue so he couldn't push through. I got a couple more power with my Tyrions stealth. Power was 12 to 8 in my favor.

Turn 7 I played my remaining Coppers against his Clash of Kings. He finally was the first of either of us to see Tywin. I marshaled some small guys and was able to hold onto Bronn. I let his military go since I could Treachery Gregor if it hit something good. He then made the fatal move of attacking intrigue, focusing on getting a Power Crossing challenge. Caleotte and Nymeria then stripped his remaining strong Power icons. Tyrion's Stealth and Jaime's renown closed the game. Brothers teamwork at its best.

After the game he showed me his hand and he drew a lot of copies of dead dudes. He didn't get one jumping event off all game.

It was a wonderful day of Thrones with a great group of people from all over the south. Thank you again for reading if you made it this far.

So, why no Gregor? Too expensive?

bluefaithful 21

Gregor would definitely fit with the decks goals, especially that extra renown. But the cost and lack of flexibility makes him seem like a win more card in this deck. Set ups can already be boom or bust and I think I would have to take another big character to make room. I like all my other big guys better.

Submitted, thanks for the link.

Congrats again Michael. The list looks solid. Did you think about dropping a Brothel Madame or maybe Obara to improve against first Snow?

bluefaithful 21

Yeah I definitely think I have too many 3 cost characters. I would cut Obara before Madame. Thinking of taking her out and replacing Red cloaks with Burned Men for snow. Fortunately I only saw one meaningful Snow all day.

Hey man just wanted to say thanks for this amazing deck. I used a modified version to compete in the Rochester Regional and Millennium Games. I changed one HJ with one Lannisport. I came second losing to Mirri. Tried hard to tears or ptts her, just once she got going it was hard to stop her.

bluefaithful 21

Thanks and glad it worked for you. Lannisport would definitely be nice. Never enough draw. Was very glad I didn't have to play a Mirri deck in the cut. This seems like a decent deck against it but only if things go right.
