Here is the deck I ran at the NJ Regional on 5/21 to a 2nd seed 5th place overall finish.

This was only my second AGOT tournament, the first being a small 8 player SC. As such I decided to take a deck I felt was both strong (if not underrated) but one that would force me to focus on not getting myself blown out through my inexperience on certain match ups by utilizing cancelation and ability nullification.

Rd 1. Win SC Bye. Had a cranberry scone.

Rd 2. Win Stark LotC. Having played a number of LotC decks myself and obviously currently playing a Stark deck I was quite aware how quickly he could amass power via renown and the LotC ability. As a result I spent the first 3 plots just defending. I gained a not insignificant amount of power as a result of the defending and was able to accelerate myself past him in the end, his Agenda working against him as he was forced to kneel out to much of his board.

Rd 3. Win Stark Fealty. The mirror match was dominated by my Winterfell making my challenges infinitely more effecient then his own. We both saw the Blackshear early and though his amassed 3 power by plot 3 (Seal of the Hand) I was able to start stonewalling him. The +1 strength meant I was able to win most challenges which allowed me to pull past him.

Rd 4. Win Martell/NW. Nobody I play with has played NW against me recently so I was very leary about this match up. He set up Gaston Grey, but never saw the Wall. As a result I was able to play very patiently winning on defense and counteracting in a single challenge using Cat or Winterfell to prevent Gaston Grey. He Fortified Position on plot 5 to delay my win, but was unable to make headway and I won on turn 6.

Rd 5 Win Lannister/Martell. Winterfell again was the MVP keeping me either Tears free or neuterin the Mountain. Despite him having a board of Tywin, Cersei, Tyrion, and the Mountain I was able to defend fairly well and eventually push past with a Ward play on Cersei and and an Ice on Arya taking out the Mountain (Tywin being duped but Milked).

Rd 6. Loss Stark Fealty. You know what is really important in the mirror match? Jon Snow. When you are playing the same characters, the player that can use his twice will win. As such he did handily.

Top 8 Loss Lannister/Dragon. It was a very close game with him barely reaching 15 power before I took a stranglehold on the board. His Tywin amassed alot of power before I was able to trim his supporting cast of Tyrion, Illyrio, and the Hound. In hindsight I missed the ideal play available to me that would have likely turned the game in my favor. Turn 2 he Confiscated a Milk from Tywin while I left my Cat Milked as I had event cancel for Tears. Turn 3 I Ice'd his Tyrion. In reality I should have Confiscated Turn 3 instead of Warden of the North, saving that for Turn 4. With his Confiscation used I had no reason to not leave Ice in the table for the strength, and with his Tywin only protected by a Bodyguard I could have killed him if I feared up Cat of the Milk and cheated her in with WotN. I missed the importance of that play and lost a result since my opponent made ideal plays throughout.

All in all I was happy with my result, and happy with the deck. I have no changes I would immediately make to it, not that I think it is ideal but rather I have nothing specefic in mind.

Any questions feel free to ask.

How important were the Milks? Did they do much for you throughout the tournament?

I'd suggest finding room for Syrio. I've found he can be extremely useful in combination with Catelyn and near mandatory for the Martell matchup. Nymeria taking the military icon from your Ice holder is rough. If you can get Catelyn in the military challenge, it protects you from their Vengeance, Viper Eyes, and Bastard Daughters. Quite the value.

I think that Winterfell probably serves the role of protection from all those effects when you need to get a Mil challenge off so not sure that overlaping with Syrio would be worth cutting somewhere else
