@mythras How many players was this Regionals & which decks did you win & lose against?

mythras 712

29 players. 5 rounds of swiss, top 8 cut. First round was a bye for me. Only loss was in the final against Lanni Kraken.

Wins against 2x Lanni Sun, 1x Lanni Crossing, 2x Targ Lion, 1x GJ Lion

Lots and lots of Lannister :D

@mythras Good job against the Lannis. What plot did you use to open with most games? Did Naval Superiority work for you all games?

Depending on my setup it was either Naval Superiority or Heads on Spikes first turn. Naval worked in every game except for the final where I didn't get enough economy to use it properly. Hit Trading, Noble Cause and Summons regularly.

I just played in a 52 player regional with a very similar deck (the plots were the same but some small differences with characters including Syrio which helped seal the win on a couple games ) as my first tourney and managed a top 4 spot (losing to the winner).

52 players. 6 rounds of swiss - cut to top 8.

round 1: Targ/Lanni (win)

Round 2: Stark Fealty (win) - one of the closest games though

Round 3: Bara Fealty (Loss)

Round 4: Lanny/Martell (win)

Round 5: Lannister something (I dont remember it was over quickly as he only marshalled one character and I was able to march it and win quickly)

Round 6: Lanny (dragon?)

Top 8: Lannister Crossing: He marshaled 2 characters with no dupes, no military icons, and no economy(he had the 2 intrigue challenge location); Naval hit his noble cause and he wasn't able to marshal anything. My unopposed mil challenge killed his reducer and marched left him with only the intrigue location on the board. if was a swift win from there; especially since I was able to get out great kracken to speed it up.

Top 4: Facing lannister kracken; My opening hand I only had one character: (Asha); I mulliganed into the same thing: This time with Balon and 2 Mirris as my only characters. I marshalled 2 Mirris, and a kingsroad. He marshalled a duped tyrion and a weenie of some sort, but no locations. I took the game and marched to the wall and so did he, leaving us with a clear board. I was able to get out Asha and jorah to defend his counter mil challenge. Next round he gets out cersei; I get out a balon; I lose a bunch of carts but I have a pretty strong mil presense vs. his fairly small board. Then I start making mistakes: I play Naval vs. his Calm. He gets out Jamie; I'm able to defend his military challenge and get some unopposed/ reknown from Balon; but he hits my hand hard and starts getting some power gain fast. Next round I heads on spikes his summons(hit the mountain that he summoned). He's able to oppose asha's challenges and win intrigue on both attack on defense. I'm concerned about his rapid power gain at this point, so I plan to oppose all 3 challenges on defense. I missed that he had 2 gold sitting there, because they were custom tokens and I had been up for 16 hours at this point, so I only oppose with one character, planning on oppose the power challenge with my other character to slow him down. He puts to the sword balon, and the game is easily won by him next round.

I played Naval as my first plot in every round except for in the 2 games I lost and the game where they had a 1 character setup. It missed twice both on Calm over westeros.
