This is the deck I played at @Mattastrophics tournament at Red Castle Games in Portland OR on 6/25/2016. This tournament had special ruleset where Lannister was not allowed as a main house or banner, and First Snow of Winter was also not allowed. Not going to have a discussion of the restriction here but basically our community just wanted to have a fun tournament with something different. If your trying to win its hard not to play Lannister and I've played them the entire store championship season so it was a nice break to be honest.

Now with Lannister gone I think greyjoy really improves. Treachery is one of the key defining reasons that Lannister can keep a lot of craziness in check and this deck really takes advantage of its absence(as well as hound/widows wail, those are super annoying as GJ). I was close to playing a slower Euron version but this was good as well. The addition of we do not sow is really good for the format imo, since one of the reasons location control isn't that great in normal thrones is lannister doesn't play locations. In this format I expected Stark(winterfell/gates), Bara(Chamber/Red Keep), Greyjoy(Seastone/Kraken/other assorted locations) and finally Targ which might play plaza of punishment. Plaza is a bit better in a format where people play more 3 drops and where cards like bran are really good because there is no treachery. Nightmares was also a nod to how I thought locations would be quite good.

I did end up discarding The Wall with we do not sow which is great.

I only used Nightmares once all day I believe but it was super powerful when i did use it. My opponent had trading with pentoshied and played out Dany and Crowned my mirri. They had an iron mines. I was able to blank iron mines, get in unopposed on military and then kill Dany. This allowed Mirri to attack and kill Asha. My opponent quickly conceded.

I didn't play against stark but i really wanted to be able to blank winterfell on a crucial turn.

I played hands judgement over Risen from the sea because it is more versatile.

Put to the Sword probably belongs.. I didn't play it but I would have liked 1-2 copies.

The plots are good, decent i would cut trading for something else.

Fun games, I wouldn't play this in a regular tournament personally, but its fun so it might be a good option if you want something else to play. Just remember treachery exists.
