Concept is fairly simple
Take any setup hand with an arbour, reset the board fairly early (turn 1 if possible) with varys and again the following turn if i have 2, focus on intrigue early game to empty their hand and force them to play whats left.
Once they had started to run short on characters start to play my own, meanwhile hopefully hitting the board with a florent knight or two, again trimming their board presence. Once these couple of turns of hard resets have finished allow the tyrell rush mechanic to push the advantage quickly beyond what they can come back from
I chose Fealty over Lords because those early game int chals are very important, thats all I really care about, and in order for me to get to the 3rd chal I will need at least 2-3 characters out and I wouldnt want to be discarding those for varys.
Fealty also helps me to rebuild a little bit faster. though being tyrell fealty often isnt used each round

I tried banner to Lion, just to add some Lanni goodness, but found that it meant cutting copies of the uniques in the deck which meant when varys kicked off he was more likely to remove from the game my own heavy hitters, adding 12 cards that all had a positive impact on the deck was difficult. Stark may be a possibility though... 3 fast eddy, 3 bran 2/3 arya, maybe some frozen solids? |
I'm not suggesting that Lord of the Crossing is better, but you only have 14 loyal cards that Fealty can help you play. Perhaps you can benefit from using a banner?
