http://thejoustingpavilion.com/tournaments/2184/report Small friendly tournament ran on Monday. Went 4-1 in swiss and a final as there was two of us at 4-1 at the end.

Just chucked the deck together as it was my first time back playing since the second cycle started so, wanted to test out the new agenda and usually play Greyjoy so was easy choice. Was feeling particularly afraid of craven and scary locations, hence the 3x WDNS, wanted to test out Captains Daughter and see if wraiths + Alannys was doable. Turns out both of those things are pretty great.

First game was against Jake's Bara Fealty running many summer plots, Balon and Asha got milked turn one, then Stannis came out and couldn't recover, was immediately regretting not putting Weapons at the door or Confiscation in the deck as I got stomped.

Game two was against Mel's Bara Fealty again, but this time I got Balon, Asha + Little Bird, Seastone Chair plus Fishwiskers out by turn two, actually felt bad for my opponent who was new to the game, we warned her to look out for those 4 cards before the game started and they all came out and game was over on plot 3.

Game three I was up against Alex's Lanni Sun deck, I've played against this deck about 10 times over the past few months and never usually beat it, its heavy on icon removal, milks, nightmares, Illyn Payne and the rest of Lanni good stuff. Turn one I manage to get Balon and Asha out, who is then immediately stripped of both icons, along with Asha taking a deep drink of milk then during challenges Balon gets the taste of Lys. However, turn 2 Wraiths forces Alex down to three cards, discarding 4 from his hand, and I manage to get some of my cheap guys on the board, Captains Daughter is a threat on the board waiting for the Hound to ambush back into play. A topdecked Fishwiskers comes in, and managed to swing the game back into my favour and pull a win.

Game four against Nights Watch Lion, Alex warned me that Rowan had a hideous choke deck, White Tree came out turn 1 but managed to destroy it with NML on turn 2, Balon got craven'd, so did Asha, then Balon got milked, got out a rattleshirts, who also got craven'd. Not fun. Down about 9 power to 1, with Aeron in hand, Wildfire from Rowan as he had a neat small board, I killed Balon then passed challenges to bring him back un attached, topdecked the fishyman who had a field day with winter plots all around and won the game.

Game five against Jeff's NW Fealty, turn one Wraiths with Alanyss on board, 2 card hand from turn two onward, no economy was found in Jeff's deck so he just crumbled, a massive Benjen with practice blade, old bears raven and longclaw was the only thing stopping the unopposed challenges going through, but after finding the wall with building orders, there was never enough gold in the pot to actually play it with the never ending barrage of winter plots.

Final game against TO Sam's Tyrell Crossing deck, only ever played against Sam once before and he annihilated me so wasn't feeling overly confident going in, a turn two first snow cleared the board, Captains Daughter got rid of Syrio leaving only Randy with a bodyguard to face down Balon + Rattleshirts, discarding the bodyguard then the mil claim left the board empty and there was no chance to recover as plots three and four were Famine followed by Long Winter.

-- So won the day without facing a Martell or a Stark who I feel would probably beat this deck, a more conventional Lannister deck would probably destroy it too, but was a fun deck to use, and had some great games with it too. Think I only won about 3 intrigue challenges all day but was discarding cards from the reserve reduction so much that it didn't even matter, Wraiths in the first couple of turns or the turn following first snow is game changing with KoW. MVP was Aeron, who I used on two occasions to bring back someone who was crippled with attachments, just let them die and bring them on back. Didn't use Pyke, only got it on the board in the first game so no comment on that one, WDNS was used to get rid of more attachments than locations, but as I said, I didn't see any Martell's or Starks, but with all the winter plots Winterfell wouldn't be a real issue anyway.

Nice write-up, it's been a long time since I had to concede a game at the start of turn 3! The combo of First Snow + Rattleshirts + Captain's Daughter absolutely hammered me. We'll played again :)

Rowan should know better than to attach Craven to a character with No Attachments! Congratulations on your win!
