I had been playing around with this off and on since the release of LoCR. I like the way it performed and decided it was time to test the waters at a tournament with a juicy playmat up for grabs. I made some meta calls before the tournament that were untested and need to tweak them to help the performance if Valar doesn't change the meta anyways.

Around the GTA there are a few great NW and Martell/Banner Sun players. I needed a lot attachment hate to help me through those matches. I originally had no attachment hate plot but 3x Rattleshirt's Raiders. Last minute addition was Weapons at the Door and dropped a Rattleshirt's. Played it once on the last matchup against a Bara Sun player. The idea being, empty the hand early to get them top decking, then play Weapons and empty those attachments out. Problem was in that match, The Red Keep too good (rather I couldn't do enough in power to stop it). I had been able to empty hands all night but with great draw that is hard for Lannister to keep up with (lack of power icons, especially when they get stolen).

Overall the deck performed well and the idea behind it was solid enough to carry me throughout. I think a few more tweaks and practice I can get it singing even better than before. I understand the excitement behind core Cersei Lannister in these Rains decks but I like the consistent power grab of new Cersei better in line to winning faster. I had no problems emptying hands with one intrigue triggering Rains into Wardens followed by Heads (which was a real MVP plot all night and caught a few off guard when I flipped a second). With that said, Casterly Rock under performed most of the night. It was too hard to commit much to intrigue if I didn't have Cersei. But I'll keep trying it. It may be just having to be aggressive on getting her and CR out as soon as possible and start going to town. Otherwise I'd drop it for a third Small council and a couple more characters.

The Trials by Combat donĀ“t seem so strong with no claim 2 plot and big Cersei.

@Luthic the reason behind them is in testing I had noticed it pretty easy to empty hands. By then I may be getting 0 to 1 power from Cercei and so there isn't any point to do intrigue. But with Trial, at least I can leverage that mid to late game by pressuring with double military claim. Honestly, on that day, I think I played it once? The had destruction was often enough to keep them down and military challenges when you're slowly bleeding characters. Thus I may drop to two Trials but again more testing is necessary to make it play tighter.

Yeah, Tears seem to control your opponents board much more efficient in the scenario you describe.
