In a bit of a rut for deck construction, I decided to put together the silliest combination I could think of. It came down to Greyjoy/Rains or Stark/Rains (I guess Targ/Winter would be really silly, too). Greyjoy/Rains won out because I really like the double level of "mate".

Then of course other people came up with the concept too and started doing well with it. WTF, mate?

Chatted with some friends to tune up my original list, which eventually ended up with some extra events over the original list. Then I took it out for a Store Championship run!

Round 1 vs Mel, Targ Crossing

My wife! I really like her deck. Unfortunately for her she opens with Trading and I open with Summer Harvest. I don't play myself out too wide, and she Milks my setup Balon, but I get Asha and the Reader up and running (and Appointed on Balon to protect from Tears), along with Support of the People into the Great Kraken. She doesn't see a Dracarys til t3, and t2 I Rains into Wildfire to keep her board down. I cross on turn 4.

Round 2 vs Scott, Martell Fealty

I tested against Scott's deck at our local store, it's full of stall and resets and eventually wins via Iron Throne dominance for the most part. He removes the Intrigue icon from both my setup House Maester and setup Littlefinger, so I have trouble generating Intrigue to attack him with, and after playing Hand's Judgment on me We Do Not Sow, he plays Ghaston Grey the next turn. I keep my hand up and get a good bit of power on my house card, and he plays Varys on t3, which gives me an attack with my Euron so I have his Kingsroad in addition to mine. After the board wipe he plays Fallen from Favor to rebound with Starfall Cavalry, a Bastard Daughter and Knights of the Sun. I drop Wendamyr, Asha and give her Appointed. I need 6 power to win, and he only does a military challenge - I play Risen from the Sea on my Wendamyr when he mils me with the Bastard Daughter. Then a Wendamyr power challenge (stealth Knights) and an Asha intrigue challenge (stealth Starfall) gets me the 6 power I need.

And that's it. We had 4 players so I win the store championship going 2-0. I don't know if this deck is any good (earlier iterations worked well in melee, too) but it certainly was fun.

Also this is actually a 2017 Store Championship of course.
