Crush your opponents with overwhelming military strength. With the Banner of the Stag adding Salladhor Saan and the Valyrian to your arsenal, it will be easy to beef up the strength of your Drowned Men. (Maximum strength of Drowned Men is +7 for if all warships are out, to add up to 10!) Salladhor will add ambush to your warships as well as your throwing axes. Even without the Baratheon pirate, Raider from Pyke adds ambush to your axes in his stead. Davos and Pylos are most welcome providing for extra stealth keywords while Renly Baratheon provides for easy economy as well as an intrigue icon. The majority of characters are unique so Risen from the Sea and Iron Mines were a must have at 3.

I love the potential for a pirate-themed deck and would love to give this one a try tonight when bringing GoT to the table. Other than the changes you have made for this current version, are there any blaring weaknesses to this deck (other than the lack of intrigue)? |

I figured out that the Helya weapons at the door combo does not trigger correctly, but the basis is to just push through challenges getting renown from balon, euron, and dagmer. Instead of weapons, I would put valar in, just so that you are killing with throwing axe, which will pressure for some unopposed that davos, plyos. I would also replace helya with 2 copies of dagmer. Tbh I usually make a lot of decks for the fun of it, and more so to get new deck ideas out there so for this one and many others, I have not yet play tested it! Glhf with it though! |
The description is a little outdated, and I changed the number of warships so Drowned men are not as beefy, but added more economy and support!
