Rules FAQ

  • The Forced Reaction happens well before claim is applied. If you are forced to give control of The Trident to the losing opponent, you will not get the claim bonus in that challenge.

  • You can choose not to sacrifice a location even if there is one available. Control of The Trident will pass to the losing opponent if it can. If it cannot, nothing will happen. If both players control their own copy of The Trident, they can both keep a permanent +1 claim modifier without sacrificing any locations.

  • You are allowed to sacrifice The God's Eye or your The House With the Red Door location (if it is neutral). If you control The Eyrie (AHaH), it is not immune to the effects of The Trident. Even though the reaction is forced, it is still your card effect rather than an opponent’s.
