• The ability affects all players, including the controller of the attachment.

• You can still trigger abilities on event cards such as The North Remembers, since those are not considered to be playing the event. (See Playing Events.)

• A character is considered to be participating in the challenge as an attacker after step 4.2, which means immediately after the challenge is initiated. You can no longer play an event like Choosing the Spear as a reaction to the challenge being initiated.

• If attached character leaves play or is removed from the challenge as a reaction to winning or losing the challenge (for instance, killed by Ice (Core)), you can already play events in that same reaction window.
