• In a Melee game, you only need to have a higher claim value than one of your opponents.

• You check the claim value at the point of resolving the renown keyword, not at the point of determining the winner of the challenge.

• Revealing a new plot with Battle of the Trident happens before resolving keywords, so the new claim value is taken into account. However, lasting effects that raise the claim value "on your revealed plot card" (for instance, Winter Is Coming) are still active even after you reveal the new plot. But effects that refer to a plot card by title (for instance, Battle on the Green Fork) are not.
