Rules FAQ

  • An event that is canceled is still considered to have been played.

  • If an interrupt ability is used when you are playing your 3rd event (for instance, The Hand's Judgment), the event you are playing already counts towards your limit. You cannot play another event in that interrupt window or in any nested sequence that results from that interrupt.

  • The plot will "remember" how many events you have already played that round, even if you played them before the plot was revealed.

  • The word "cannot" is absolute, and cannot be countermanded by other abilities. That means any ability that gives you a play permission to play events will not get around it (for instance, The Annals of Castle Black).

  • If you reveal a new plot (for instance, with "The Rains of Castamere"), the constant ability of The Minstrel's Muse will no longer affect the game after the plot has left play. You are free to play as many events as you like after that. Same goes if the text box of The Minstrel's Muse is blanked (for instance, by Nefarious Acolyte).

  • The reaction to a Song event being played shares the same reaction window with reactions to the effects of that event.
